A power transmission belt having a body made of a first elastomeric material, a plurality of cords embedded in the body of the belt, a back and a plurality of ribs or teeth. The back or the ribs or the teeth are covered by a covering material chosen from the group composed of woven fabric and knitted fabric. The covering material includes elastolefin fibres, and preferably at least one elastolefin thread.

Power transmission belt and its transmission system

Power transmission belts described herein have a nitrile group-containing copolymer rubber that has an acrylonitrile unit, a monomer unit of α,β-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer other than acrylonitrile, and a conjugated diene monomer unit. The nitrile group-containing copolymer rubber has an iodine value of 120 or less a total of the acrylonitrile unit and the monomer unit of α,β-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer other than acrylonitrile is 1 to 50% by weight in the total monomer unit, and a weight ratio of the acrylonitrile unit and the monomer unit of α,β-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer other than acrylonitrile is 10:90 to 90:10.

Power transmission belt

There is described a belt comprising a body made of a first elastomeric material, in which a plurality of longitudinal filiform resistant inserts is embedded, and a working surface coated by a coating fabric, advantageously the working surface consists of a toothing. The first elastomeric material comprises fibers which extend in a direction substantially perpendicular to the resistant inserts and substantially parallel to a surface defined by the axes of the resistant inserts.

Toothed belt and use of a toothed belt in oil

The invention relates to an elastomeric composition comprising a branched polymer obtained from a polymer selected from the group consisting of NBR, HNBR, XHNBR, EP(D)M, and maleized EPDM and from a compound adapted to form a bond at a bond of the polymer to form a side chain. This compound comprises a group Y comprising a perfluoroalkyl functional group and a functional group adapted to react with the double bond. Preferably, Y=F(CFCF)/wherein m is in the range between 2 and 20; R is selected from the group consisting of a double bond C&#x2550;C, a triple bond C&#x2261;C, a functional alcoholic, carboxylic, esteric, acrylic, methacrylic group. The invention also relates to the use of a composition as a body compound for a drive belt and to the use thereof in an oil bath.
