An adapter for mounting a sealed trunk or tailgate opening assembly in a vehicle. The adapter includes a planar bracket with a release assembly receiving area. The release assembly receiving area has a first positioning member and a second positioning member. The first positioning member and the second position member cooperate with the sealed trunk or tailgate opening assembly to prevent the sealed trunk or tailgate opening assembly from moving in a direction which is parallel to the first surface of the bracket. Resilient mounting projections extend from the bracket. The resilient mounting projections have latching projections proximate free ends thereof, the latching projections of the resilient mounting projections cooperate with an opening of the vehicle to mount the adapter in the opening of the vehicle.

Trunk or tailgate opening assembly

A battery terminal having a post-engaging portion configured to receive a battery post. The post-engaging portion has an arcuate portion having a first portion, a second portion and a slot separating the first portion from the second portion. Wherein in response to the lever being moved toward a closed position, the first portion and second portion are subjected to a tensile force, causing the first portion and the second portion to elongate while not exceeding the yield strength of the first portion and the second portion generating stored energy in the first portion and the second portion. The stored energy results in a constant normal force being applied by the first portion and the second portion of to the battery post to provide and maintain a gastight electrical contact interface between the first portion and the second portion and the battery post.

An electrical connector includes a housing and a presentation block. The presentation block is mounted to the housing along an outer surface of the housing. The presentation block has a three-dimensional shape with a display surface that is angled transverse to an area of the outer surface of the housing on which the presentation block is mounted. The presentation block includes a graphic identifier that is computer-readable and disposed on the display surface.

An electrical connector includes a housing, multiple blade terminals, and a terminal position assurance (TPA) device. The blade terminals are held within cavities of the housing. The blade terminals have two edge sides between two broad sides and a rib projecting from at least one of the two edge sides. The TPA device is coupled to the housing at a mounting end thereof and is movable relative to the housing between an unlock position and a lock position. The TPA device has a base plate that defines multiple terminal openings therethrough. The base plate includes ledges that jut out into the terminal openings. The ledges extend behind and align with the ribs of the corresponding blade terminals when the TPA device is in the lock position to retain the blade terminals within the housing by abutting against back shoulders of the ribs.

Electrical connector with terminal position assurance device

An electrical connector includes a housing and a terminal position assurance (TPA) member. The housing defines cavities that extend from a cable end of the housing parallel to a cavity axis and hold corresponding terminals therein. The housing includes first and second walls defining a TPA slot therebetween that is open to the cavities. The TPA member is mounted to the housing within the TPA slot such that a front side of the TPA member engages the first wall and a rear side of the TPA member engages the second wall. The TPA member is movable relative to the housing between an unlocked position and a locked position along an actuation axis perpendicular to the cavity axis. The TPA member in the locked position extends into the cavities, and the front side of the TPA member engages the terminals to retain the terminals within the housing.

Electrical connector with terminal position assurance member

A cartridge heater assembly and method or assembly. The cartridge heater assembly includes a cartridge heater. A first electrical contact member is provided in electrical and mechanical engagement with the cartridge heater. The first electrical contact member has first mounting legs which are dimensioned to be press fit into first openings of a circuit board. A second electrical contact member is provided in electrical and mechanical engagement with the cartridge heater. The second electrical contact member has second mounting legs which are dimensioned to be press fit into second openings of the circuit board. An insulating member is provided between the first electrical contact member and the second electrical contact member.

Cartridge heater assembly

A connector assembly having a connector housing with a terminal receiving area. The terminal receiving area is spaced from outside walls of the connector housing and has a secondary lock receiving recess and terminal receiving cavities. A secondary lock member is slidably received in the secondary lock receiving recess for movement between a first position and a second position. The secondary lock member cooperates with terminals positioned in the terminal receiving cavities when the secondary lock member is in the second position. The secondary lock member has a resilient positioning member extending from a first wall of the secondary lock member in a direction away from the terminal receiving area. The resilient positioning member is configured to engage a mating component and compress when the mating component is inserted into the connector housing.

An electrical connector includes a housing having an upper wall and a first protrusion and a CPA element slidably coupled to the housing along the upper wall between an extended position and an inserted position. The CPA element includes a base and a first beam extending from the base having a first arm and a first finger including an abutment wall configured to abut against the first protrusion and a tip configured to be engaged by a mating connector when received in the housing. The tip is deflected from a blocked position to a released position with the distal end engaging the protrusion in the blocked position and the tip being deflected outside of the protrusion to the released position where the tip is able to clear past the protrusion to allow the CPA element to be moved from the extended position to the inserted position. The CPA may be configured so that in the extended position it is to block release of a pivotal latch used to retain the connector to a mating connector.

Electrical connector having a connector position assurance element

A bulb socket for receiving a bulb therein. The bulb socket includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a bulb receiving opening. The second portion extends from the first portion. The second portion has first outside surfaces which are tapered inward, such that the perimeter of the second portion proximate the first portion is less than the perimeter of the second portion spaced from the first portion. The second portion does not obstruct the performance of the bulb, allowing approximately all of the light capacity of the bulb to be utilized.

An electrical connector and method for mounting to mating member with an arcuate cylindrical member. The electrical connector includes a housing and a mounting member extending from the housing. The mounting member has latching members and a mating member receiving section. The mating member receiving section has an arcuate configuration which cooperates with the arcuate cylindrical member to maintain the electrical connector on the arcuate cylindrical member. The latching members have latching arms, with each latching arm having an arcuate configuration which cooperates with a surface of the mating member to prevent unwanted rotation of the electrical connector relative to the mating member.
