A sensor device for optically detecting characteristics of a fluid. The device includes a housing with a base portion from which first and second appendages extend at least partially facing one another, and between which in use a fluid is present, and first and second optoelectronic devices adapted to transmit and receive radiation, respectively, mounted at the first and second appendages of the housing, respectively. The arrangement is such that in use a radiation beam transmitted by the first optoelectronic device propagates in an optical path which includes a portion crossing the fluid between said appendages and reaches the second optoelectronic device. This optical path includes at least one reflecting surface made integrally in an appendage of the housing and adapted to deflect the radiation beam between the associated optoelectronic device and the fluid crossing portion.

A device for sensing the electrical conductivity of a liquid, particularly that of the washing bath in a washing machine, including an electrically insulating supporting casing through which first and second electrodes intended to contact the washing bath extend to the outside, electrical power supply and signal acquisition and processing circuit devices housed at least in part in the supporting casing and coupled to the electrodes, and signal coupling and galvanic isolation devices, interposed between these circuit devices and the electrodes and also housed in the casing, and including at least a first and a second capacitor, each of which is interconnected in series between one of the electrodes and a corresponding terminal of the circuit.

The device comprises two fixed contacts, a movable assembly coupled to the central portion of a movable contact the free ends of which can cooperate with the said fixed contacts, and a control electromagnet comprising a solenoid and a movable core displaceable from an initial rest position to a final position in which it strikes a stop element carrying with it the movable assembly so as to bring the end of the movable contact against the fixed contacts before reaching the final position. The movable contact can flex resiliently like a beam under the effect of its engagement with the fixed contacts. When the core strikes the stop element, the fixed contacts oscillate about their normal working positions. The movable contact is made in such a way that, as the fixed contacts start to oscillate its free ends follow the movements of the fixed contacts, its acceleration in its own mode of vibration being greater than the acceleration of the fixed contacts and its amplitude of oscillation being greater than the amplitude of oscillation of the fixed contacts.

The housing has a bell-shaped end portion with an axial aperture in which the output pinion of the starter motor unit is supported for rotation and a side aperture through which the pinion can mate with a rotary member of the internal combustion engine. The side wall of the bell-shaped portion opposite the side aperture has a recess with a flat wall portion extending in a plane substantially parallel to the axis of the bell-shaped portion.
