A fiber management system for managing and distributing optical fibers comprises at least one supporting element, at least one splice tray pivotally mounted on the supporting element around a pivot axis (X), distributing elements for routing incoming fiber modules toward the splice tray and for routing outgoing fiber modules away from the splice tray, the distributing elements being oriented along respective routing directions transverse to the pivot axis. It is disclosed a connection box for housing a connection between a distribution cable and a drop cable of an optical access network. The connection box comprises an outer casing and a detachable connection plate, which may be completely housed therein. The outer casing comprises a fixing member for fixing the distribution cable. The connection plate comprises a first surface with a fixing member for fixing an end of the drop cable and a second, opposite surface with a connector holder for holding the optical connector between a distribution fiber extracted from the distribution cable and a drop fiber extracted from the drop cable. The perimeter edge of the connection plate exhibits an indentation forming a fiber passage allowing the drop fiber passing from the first surface to the second surface of the connection plate. It is also disclosed a method for connecting two optical cables using such connection box.

A port sealing device includes a body configured to switch between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The body defines a cable pass-through channel extending along an axial direction when the body is in the closed configuration. The port sealing device includes sealing arrays arranged in the cable pass-through channel, where each of the sealing arrays is arranged in the cable pass-through channel along an annular direction around the axial direction. Each of the sealing arrays is spaced apart from an adjacent one of the sealing arrays along the axial direction. Each of the sealing arrays includes sealing elements mutually spaced apart along the annular direction, where the sealing elements of one of the sealing arrays is arranged in the cable pass-through channel with a pattern different from the pattern of the sealing elements of an adjacent one of the sealing arrays. An enclosure for housing and fastening a length of optical cable, the optical cable having an outer sheath and a flexible strength member, includes a fixing element and a retention assembly, the fixing element being adapted for engaging a portion of the outer sheath and the retention assembly being adapted for fastening the flexible strength member. The fixing element and the retention assembly are independent from each other. The retention assembly includes a reel and a reel seat. The reel is adapted to receive at least one turn of the flexible strength member wound thereon and to be inserted without rotation into the reel seat. The reel seat is adapted for housing the reel. The reel seat is shaped at least partially mating the shape of the reel.

The present invention embraces an optical transition box for housing the connection between a riser cable and a drop cable of an optical access network. The box has a base, which itself typically includes: a bottom for housing the excess lengths of the optical fibers of the riser cable and of the drop cable, a first sidewall and a splice-holder element for housing the splices between the optical fibers. Typically, the splice-holder element is fixed to the first sidewall and overhangs above the bottom. A distance not less than the diameter of an optical fiber is typically provided between the bottom and the splice-holder element.

Optical transition box

An optical branching device suitable for branching optical fibers extracted through an access window cut in a sheath of an optical cable. The optical branching device includes a central channel configured to house a portion of the optical cable, at least one lateral channel which branches from the central channel and which is configured to house at least one of the optical fibers, and a housing suitable for receiving a fixing member for fixing the device to the optical cable. The housing is in a non-projecting position relative to the lateral channel along a longitudinal direction of the central channel.
