A data entry stylus for entering data onto an entry pad. The stylus includes a body having a housing. The stylus includes: a reference element, having two distinct portions, a first portion sitting within the housing and a second portion, including a tip the end of which is at least hemispherical; and a damper forming a cladding around at least a part of the reference element, including an external wall.

Data entry stylus

A method is provided for recording a user's handwritten signature through a device including a touch-sensitive surface. The method includes a phase of obtaining a handwritten signature, which includes at least one step of acquiring the handwritten signature on the touch-sensitive surface of the device, delivering an acquired signature and at least one step of recording the acquired signature within a signature-recording space. During the phase of obtaining the handwritten signature, the method includes at least one step of measuring at least one piece of complementary data through the device and at least one step of recording the at least one piece of complementary data.

Method for authenticating a signature

A method and apparatus are provided for electronically authenticating a handwritten signature of a user, entered on a writing surface via a writing instrument. The method includes acquiring, by the writing surface, at least one instant during the entering of the signature, of at least one piece of data representing the altitude z of the writing instrument relative to the writing surface, in an area of proximity to the writing surface; and authenticating the entered handwritten signature by taking account of at least the altitude z.
