The disclosure relates to a power supply device for a motor protector and a power supplying method thereof. The motor protector receives power. The power supply device comprises: a first power supplying unit, configured to receive and store the power and supply power to a tripping device of the motor protector; a second power supplying unit, configured to receive the power and supply power to a calculation and control device of the motor protector; a third power supplying unit, configured to receive and store the power and supply power to a reclosing device of the motor protector; and a control unit, configured to control an order in which the first power supplying unit, the second power supplying unit and the third power supplying unit receive the power.

A communication device for an electrical switching unit that includes an actuator driven by a control circuit. The communication device includes: a connector that can be connected to the control circuit, to receive a state signal sent by the control circuit and to receive an electrical power supply voltage supplied by the switching unit; a capacitor configured to be recharged from the power supply voltage received from the input connector when the state signal takes a predefined value; a bistable relay comprising a normally-open electrical contact connected to output terminals to form a dry electrical contact; and a pulse generator supplied by the capacitor and being configured to excite the bistable relay when the capacitor reaches a predefined level of charge.

The present disclosure relates to a driving apparatus for a reclosing apparatus and a driving method thereof. The driving apparatus comprises a first energy storage unit, a timing unit, a control unit, and a first power supply unit, a second energy storage unit and a driving unit. The timing unit outputs a first enable signal; the control unit outputs a second enable signal or a third enable signal; the first power supply unit enables the second energy storage unit to receive the power when receiving the second enable signal, and enables the second energy storage unit to discharge when receiving the third enable signal; the second energy storage unit receives and stores the power via the first power supply unit; and the driving unit provides the power stored in the first energy storage unit to the reclosing apparatus when a predetermined condition is satisfied.

Driving apparatus for reclosing apparatus and driving method thereof

A motor protector and a method for operating the same. The motor protector includes: a power supply unit adapted to receive electric power from power supply lines of a motor to power the motor protector; a measuring unit adapted to measure electric parameters of the motor; and a controller configured to at least perform steps of: receiving from the measuring unit the electric parameters; determining, based on the electric parameters, whether the motor experiences a first failure related to overheating of the motor; enabling, in accordance with determination of the first failure of the motor, the power supply unit to power a closing mechanism of the motor protector after a predetermined time, thereby closing the closing mechanism to power the motor by the power supply lines; determining, based on the electric parameters, whether the motor experiences a second failure different from the first failure; and enabling, in accordance with determination of the second failure of the motor, the power supply unit to stop powering the closing mechanism. Hence, the motor protector can discriminate types of the motor failures and adopt corresponding measures for different failures.
