An elastic return spring for axially returning a brake pad of an automotive disc brake from an active position to an inactive position, the spring being intended to be interposed between the brake pad and a fixed support, with an elastic deformation portion, a carrier portion arranged to be fastened to the fixed support of the disc brake, and a pad portion. The carrier portion includes a support part and a connection part which including at least one connection fold arranged and configured to bear on an anchoring part of the fixed support and to cooperate with said anchoring part to avoid any lifting of the connection part.

A disc brake comprising a floating stirrup and a brake piston controlled via a motion conversion cartridge () comprising a rear part pressed against the bottom of the stirrup and a control shaft passing through the bottom. The front part of the cartridge is pressed against the brake piston. It comprises a piston () provided with a plate () cooperating with the plate () of the control shaft () with the interposition of balls cooperating with tracks in the form of ramps for transforming the relative rotational motion of the plate () relative to the other () into a translational motion of the piston (). The cartridge () is held in place in its housing () by a cage () attached elastically to the wall of the housing. The plate of the piston () comprises longitudinal grooves () receiving the branches () of a lock () which is elsewhere blocked in rotation in the housing of the stirrup while leaving the conversion piston () free in translation.
