A threaded connection including first and second tubular components configured for exploration or operating a hydrocarbon well; the first tubular component including an external abutment, a male threaded connection portion extended by a non-threaded terminal portion defining an internal abutment at its axial end; the second tubular component including a female end defining at a free end a bearing surface forced against the external abutment, a female threaded connection portion made up with the male threaded connection portion and terminating in an internal shoulder forced against the internal abutment, an initial non-threaded portion connecting the female threaded connection portion to the internal shoulder, which includes a maximum radial interference locally forming a sealing surface located between the male threaded connection portion and the internal abutment, and located at a non-zero distance from the internal abutment, the distance being more than half of an axial distance of the terminal portion.

Multipurpose double abutment sealed connection

A threaded connection including first and second tubular components, each including a respective male and female end, the male end includes at least one threaded zone on its external peripheral surface and ending in a terminal surface, the female end includes at least one threaded zone on its internal peripheral surface and ending in a terminal surface, the threaded zones including, over at least a portion of their length, threads each including, viewed in longitudinal section passing through the axis of the tubular component, a thread crest, a thread root, a load flank, and a stabbing flank. Profiles of the male and female load flanks, viewed in longitudinal section passing through the axis of revolution of the connection, are a continuous curve with a convex or concave form, the profile of the male flanks being complementary to that of the female flanks over at least 70% of the continuous curve.

Threaded connection for drilling and working hydrocarbon wells

A threaded tubular connection includes a first body terminated by an external abutment, and linked to a male threading prolonged by a terminal portion forming an internal abutment surface at its axial end, such that the connection includes a second body defining a bearing surface for the external abutment at one free end, and including an initial portion on its internal surface connecting the bearing surface to a female threading, made up onto the male threading, and terminating in an internal shoulder facing the internal abutment, such that the linking profile between one of the following: the external abutment, the internal abutment, the bearing surface, and/or the internal shoulder, has a profile with a variable diameter in cross section, over a length of the body which is less than the terminal portion or initial portion.
