An actuator includes a motor driving a worm, a gearbox, and a motor control module. The gearbox includes a gearbox housing, a worm wheel mounted in the gearbox and meshed with the worm, and an output mechanism coaxially fixed to the worm wheel. The motor control module includes a control module housing, a printed circuit board received in the control module housing, and a connector connected to the printed circuit board and mounted at an open end of the control module housing, the control module housing connected with the gearbox housing. The control module housing comprises at least one plane surface with at least one resilient vibration absorber mounted thereon.

An actuator for an electric parking brake system includes a motor, an output member, and a speed reduction device. The speed reduction device includes a transmission mechanism and a self-locking mechanism. The self-locking mechanism includes a fixed member, first and second rotating bodies, and a spring. The second rotating body transmits torque to the output member via a planetary gear mechanism. The spring prevents the brake from driving the motor.

An actuator of an electric parking brake system includes a motor, an output member, and a transmission device. The transmission device includes a housing, a self-locking unit and a transmission unit. The self-locking unit includes a fixed sleeve, and a driving member, a driven member and a lock holder that are rotatable with respect to the sleeve. The lock holder supports lock elements arranged to prevent the driven member from turning unless it is driven by the driving member. A planetary gear unit may be provided as part of the transmission device.

An actuator includes a motor driving a worm, a gearbox, and a motor control module. The gearbox includes a gearbox housing, a worm wheel for meshing with the worm, an output mechanism fixed to the worm wheel. The gearbox housing defines worm chamber and worm wheel chamber. The control module housing defines a control module chamber and the connector is mounted at an open end of the control module chamber. The control module housing is connected with the gearbox housing. The control module chamber and the worm wheel chamber are located on opposite sides of the worm chamber. An isolation slot is defined between the control module chamber and the worm chamber.

A brush for an electric motor has a brush body having a front end surface configured to make sliding electrical contact with a commutator of the motor. First and second side surfaces are connected to the front end surface. The first side surface and the second side surface are positioned on opposite sides of the brush body in a rotational direction of the commutator. The front end surface has a first contact surface and a second contact surface that contact the commutator earlier than other regions of the front end surface, and are respectively positioned on diametrically opposed corners of the front end surface. In an initial state, the width of the contact area between the brush and the commutator is increased to extend the commutation time.

A self-locking mechanism has a driving member, a driven member, a stationary member, a lock holder and a number of lock elements. The lock holder encircles the driving member and the driven member. The lock holder has a support base and ribs extending from the support base. A lock element is coupled to the axial end portion of each rib. The lock elements are radially positioned between a radially outer surface of the driven member and the inner wall of the stationary member. The distance between the radially outer surface and the inner wall gradually decreases from a center to opposite circumferential sides. The maximum distance between the radially outer surface and the inner wall is greater than the diameter of the lock element, and the minimum distance is less than the diameter of the lock element.

Self-locking mechanism

An actuator for an electric parking brake system has an outer housing. A planetary gear train and an electric motor are disposed in the outer housing. At least one gear connects the motor to the planetary gear train. The planetary gear train comprises a multi-stage planetary gear mechanism. A gear housing accommodates the planetary gear mechanism. The planetary gear train further comprises a centering pin extending through the gear mechanism, such that the planetary gear mechanism rotates about the centering pin. Each stage has a sun gear, a ring gear, a plurality of planet gears meshed with the sun gear and ring gear, and a planet carrier rotatably supporting the planet gears.

Actuator for an electric parking brake system

A motor for HVAC applications, has a stator; a motor housing forming a part of the stator; an end cap fixed to the motor housing, and a rotor rotatably mounted confronting the stator. The end cap has an opening formed by a ring-shaped collar, the collar being at least partly disposed inside the motor housing. A plurality of projections on an outer circumferential surface of the collar are received in a plurality of receiving cutouts in the motor housing. Two fingers formed at the opening of each receiving cutout are deformed to lock the received projection inside the respective receiving cutout. At least three of the projections being pressed against the axially inner end of the respective receiving cutout.
