A touch panel structure and the manufacturing method thereof are disclosed, in which the manufacturing method includes the steps of: providing a bonding layer; and forming a conductive pattern layer on the bonding layer; wherein the conductive pattern layer is composed of at least one first and at least one second major conductors with an insulation layer interposed between the first and the second major conductors. Comparing with the prior art for manufacturing touch panels, the disclosure is advantageous in material cost, production cost, and production yield; moreover, the panel lamination process can be simplified and the touch panel structure can be joined to a planar or curvy panel and facilitate the design of a thinner product.

Touch panel and touch-sensitive display device

A display panel includes a first substrate, a conductive light-shielding pattern, color filter patterns, a second substrate, scan lines, data lines, pixel structures, third pads and fourth pads. The conductive light-shielding pattern disposed on the first substrate defines conductive matrix pattern, first pads, and second pads. Each first pad is electrically connected to one corresponding second pad through the conductive matrix pattern and insulated with other second pads. The color filter patterns are disposed on the first substrate and a portion of each color filter pattern overlaps the conductive light-shielding pattern. The third pads are one-to-one electrically to the first pads while the fourth pads are one-to-one electrically connected to the second pads. Each fourth pad is electrically connected to one of the scan lines and one of the data lines.

Display panel

A display panel having a display area and a non-display area outside the display area is provided. The display panel includes a first substrate, a conductive light-shielding pattern, color filter patterns, first spacers, transparent pads, a second substrate, scan lines, data lines, pixel structures, third pads and fourth pads. The conductive light-shielding pattern defines a conductive matrix pattern, a plurality of first pads and second pads. Each first pad is electrically connected with one of the corresponding second pads through the conductive matrix pattern. The color filter patterns include a plurality of first filter patterns and second filter patterns. The second filter patterns are located within the non-display area and disposed on the second pads. The first spacers are disposed on the second filter patterns, and the transparent pads cover the first spacers and contact the second pads.

A field sequential driving method includes the following steps. First, a liquid crystal display (LCD) including a display unit and a backlight unit is provided. The display unit includes several pixel units. Next, a white light source of the backlight unit is enabled during a first sub-frame period of a frame period of the LCD. Then, red and blue sub-pixel data are provided to drive a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel in the pixel unit during the first sub-frame period. Next, a green light source of the backlight unit is enabled during a second sub-frame period of the frame period. Thereafter, green sub-pixel data is provided to drive a third sub-pixel of the pixel unit during the second sub-frame period.

Field sequential liquid crystal display and driving method thereof

An active matrix substrate is provided. The active matrix substrate includes a substrate, scan lines, data lines, pixel units, and connecting lines. The scan lines, data lines, pixel units, and connecting lines are all disposed over the substrate. The pixel unit includes an active component, a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, and a third pixel electrode. The active components are electrically connected with the scan lines and data lines. The first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode are disposed at the two opposite sides of the scan line, and electrically connected with the active component. The third pixel electrode is electrically insulated from the active component. In the pixel units arranged in a same column, each of the third pixel electrodes is electrically connected with the second pixel electrode controlled by a previous scan line through the corresponding connecting line.

Liquid crystal display panel and active matrix substrate thereof

A thin film transistor liquid array substrate includes forming a plurality of amorphous silicon thin film transistors and storage capacities on a transparent substrate, wherein the amorphous silicon thin film transistors and the storage capacities are arranged in an array pattern. The storage capacitor has a top electrode and a bottom electrode, which are made of transparent conductive material to increase aperture ratio. A method of making the amorphous silicon thin film transistors and the storage capacities includes four photomask processes and a back exposure technique. Because the present invention only uses four photomask processes, the number of photomasks used in the process of the present invention is less than the conventional method, and the cost of fabrication is lower also.
