A circuit () for draining at least one combustible fluid for a cavity of a turbine includes a drain () in fluidic communication with the at least one cavity, and a first isolation valve () and a second isolation valve () defining between them an isolation cavity (C) of a portion of the drain. A discharge line () is in fluidic communication with the isolation cavity (C) to allow the discharge of air out of the isolation cavity (C). A supply line () supplies pressurized fluid to the isolation cavity (C), and a supply valve () is arranged in the supply line () for regulating the supply of the isolation cavity (C) with pressurized fluid. A discharge valve () is arranged in the discharge line () for regulating the discharge of the gases out of the isolation cavity (C), and a device () is provided for determining a failure of the drainage circuit ().

The valve, notably for a combustion system, is comprised of a valve body, at least a first fluid inlet pipe, at least one outlet pipe for the fluid arranged on the valve body, a shutter mounted movably within the valve body and capable of ensuring fluid communication between the pipes, and an actuating device of the shutter mounted within the valve body and capable of being controlled electrically. The valve also contains a cooling circuit arranged within the valve body and surrounding at least part of the actuating device, at least one cooling fluid inlet pipe, and at least one outlet pipe for the fluid arranged on the valve body and in fluid communication with the cooling circuit.

Embodiments of the invention can provide systems and methods for adjusting clearances in a turbine. According to one embodiment, there is disclosed a turbine system. The system may include one or more turbine blades, a turbine casing encompassing the one or more turbine blades, a thermoelectric element disposed at least partially about the turbine casing, a cooling system in communication with the thermoelectric element, and a controller in communication with the cooling system and the thermoelectric element. The controller may be operable to control the expansion or contraction of the turbine casing by heating or cooling at least a portion of the turbine casing with the thermoelectric element and by adjusting the cooling system such that a clearance between the one or more turbine blades and the turbine casing is adjusted.

Systems and methods for adjusting clearances in turbines

Embodiments of the invention can provide systems and methods for adjusting clearances in a turbine. According to one embodiment of the invention, there is disclosed a turbine system. The system may include one or more turbine blades; a turbine casing encompassing the one or more turbine blades; and a thermoelectric element disposed at least partially about the turbine casing, wherein the thermoelectric element expands or contracts the turbine casing by heating or cooling at least a portion of the turbine casing, thereby adjusting a clearance between the one or more turbine blades and the turbine casing.

The installation includes an electrical energy generator that connects to a distribution network and the energy storage. The installation also includes a controller controlling the operation of the energy storage and the connection of the energy storage to the electrical energy generator and the network. The controller receives a set of information from the network or, energy storage, and the electrical energy generator, and from the network manager to control the supply of the electrical energy generator and a set of auxiliary equipment of the installation from the energy storage in the event of power failure.

An electricity generating installation includes an electricity generation unit of a gas turbine, steam turbine or combined-cycle type, wherein the electricity generation unit is coupled to a generator and is connected to a distribution network, an energy storage unit configured to store kinetic energy and electrical energy, and a standby electricity generation unit. The installation further includes a controller configured to manage the operation of the energy storage unit and configured to manage the connection of the energy storage unit to the electricity generation unit and to the network. The controller receives a series of information originating from the network, the energy storage unit, the electricity generation unit and a network operator in order to control the generation of electricity to be delivered to the network and to auxiliary systems of the installation from the energy storage unit.
