A method for mapping sweat production from the human skin, said method comprising the application of a polydiacetylene (PDA) prepared from a derivative of a conjugated diynoic acid having at least 18 carbon atoms, wherein the PDA changes colour when exposed to sweat, but does not change colour when exposed to pure water.

Sweat mapping method

The present invention relates to a method of capturing and stabilising volatile thiol malodour generated on the human skin, comprising steps of: i) contacting the human skin with a substrate, ii) absorbing said thiol into the substrate, and iii) reacting said thiol with a thiol-capture agent. The invention also relates to a method of quantifying said thiol, a method of assessing the deodorizing performance of a cosmetic composition on the human skin.

Method of capturing and stabilising thiols

The invention provides a method for improving the volume of hair which comprises the following steps: (i) treating the hair by topical application of a composition comprising from 1 to 25 wt % of one or more glucosamine salts; (ii) shaping the treated hair; (iii) allowing the composition to remain in contact with the shaped hair before drying. Advantageously the method of the invention does not require the breakage of the hair disulfide bonds, does not require the use of high temperature heated implements such as straightening irons, and can be accomplished by a consumer without intervention of a professional hairdresser.

Method of improving hair volume

The invention provides a method of shaping hair comprising the following sequential steps: (i) treating the hair by topical application of a hair treatment composition comprising from 2 to 25 wt % of one or more Cmonoaldehydes, and (ii) mechanically shaping the treated hair.

Method of shaping hair

The invention provides a hair shaping composition suitable for topical application to hair, the composition comprising from 1 to 25 wt % monoglucosamine adipate, dissolved or dispersed in an aqueous carrier. The invention also provides a method for improving hair volume-down which comprises the following steps: (i) treating the hair by topical application of the hair shaping composition as defined above; (ii) shaping the treated hair; (iii) allowing the composition to remain in contact with the shaped hair before drying. Cleaning composition, which is a dry shampoo, comprising a base and propellant, wherein the base comprises sebum absorber which comprises magnetic particles, wherein the magnetic particles have a particle size in the range of from 4 nm to 50 nm, and wherein the magnetic particles are coated with a stabilizing dispersing agent, and wherein the magnetic particles are dispersed in a liquid carrier.
