A less-lethal projectile include a rear portion and a front portion. The rear portion can be a base member having a head, a waist, and a skirt configured to obturate a rifled barrel bore of an airgun. The front portion can be a hollow cylindrical cap sealingly engaged with the head such that the cap and the base member define an interior cavity in which a payload is received. The cap can include a plurality of fins and grooves configured to stabilize the projectile during flight toward a target and open without shattering the cap to release the payload from the cavity upon impact of the projectile with the target.

In the advanced firing position, an ignition pin () of the firing pin () strikes an ignition element of a cartridge () to fire a shot.

An extractor of a firearm is mounted rotatably about a rotation point with an extractor claw in the region of an end of the extractor near the barrel of the firearm and a contact element in the region of an end of the extractor remote from the barrel. An extractor spring biases the extractor in an end position determined when the chamber is empty. Torque-free pulling of a cartridge case is made possible in that the extractor has a protrusion mounted in a pot of the breech. The protrusion's leading edge adjoins an undersurface of the protrusion. The protrusion is mounted on a bottom surface of the pot near the barrel. The protrusion leading edge is supported on a leading edge of the pot near the barrel. The pot leading edge forms the transition from the bottom surface to a boundary wall of the pot near the barrel. The leading edge forms a rotation axis of the extractor, which allows rotation of the extractor relative to the breech.

A magazine device () for a double-row arrangement of successive cartridges () be inserted into a barrel of a firearm. A magazine housing () has an opening () to be placed below the cartridge chamber when inserted into the firearm for successive delivery of each cartridge (). The feed section () formed in the transition stage by two opposite walls () of the magazine housing () is of a curved form.

A self-loading pistol comprising a magazine shaft which can receive a magazine; a retainer which can hold the magazine releasably in the magazine shaft; and a magazine release which can cause the retainer to release the magazine. The magazine release can be operated from both sides of the self-loading pistol and comprises two release buttons which are arranged on different sides of the self-loading pistol. The magazine release further comprises two release levers which are disposed on different sides of the self-loading pistol. The magazine can be released by actuating either release button and/or by actuating either release lever.

A firearm, in particular handgun, has a barrel mechanism with a barrel and a chamber, a closing mechanism with a slide and also a cylinder-piston mechanism for gas pressure-operated closure delay. The cylinder-piston mechanism has a hollow cylinder with a hollow cylinder wall. A channel is formed between the barrel mechanism and the cylinder-piston mechanism. The hollow cylinder wall is fitted with at least one reinforcing element. The firearm may be produced by the following process steps: introduction of a first portion of the bore into the basic body up to the recess; introduction of a second portion of the bore up to the hollow cylinder; drilling of the channel, wherein the drill is conducted through the bore; and introduction of the reinforcing element into the recess, wherein the bore is closed in a gas-tight manner.
