A composition comprising: an impact modified styrene-containing polymer; at least one bromine-containing flame retardant; at least one dialkyl phosphinic acid metal salt M(RRPO)wherein Mis a metal cation with valence n and R, Rare alkyl groups which may be the same or different; at least one anti-dripping agent, wherein the total concentration of the bromine-containing flame retardant and the dialkyl phosphinic acid metal salt is less than 28% by weight based on the sum of all components in the composition, wherein said composition is free of antimony and meets UL-94 V-1/1.6 mm or UL-94 V-0/1.6 mm test requirements.

Flame-retarded styrene-containing formulations

There is provided herein a flame retarded polyamide composition comprising: (a) at least one polyamide; (b) a hydroquinone bisdiphenyl phosphate ester of the general formula (I): wherein R, R, Rand Reach independently is aryl, or arylalkyl each independently containing up to about 30 carbon atoms, optionally interrupted with heteroatoms, X is a divalent hydroquinone group, containing up to about 20 carbon atoms, and n has an average value of from about 1.0 to about 2.0; and, (c) at least one brominated flame retardant and optionally, melamine polyphosphate. 

Flame-retarded polyamide composition

A transparent composition comprising polycarbonate and a mixture of flame retardants, wherein the flame retardants are aryl phosphate ester of hydroquinone and tris(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)-s-triazine.

Flame-retarded transparent polycarbonate compositions

The invention provides a transparent polycarbonate composition comprising a polycarbonate resin and a mixture of flame retardants comprising (A) tris(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)-s-triazine and (B) an aromatic sulphone sulphonate in the form of an alkali metal salt. The composition achieves a UL-94 flammability test rating of V-0 at a polycarbonate thickness equal to or less than 1.6 mm. Processes for preparing the composition are also disclosed.

There is provided herein a flame-retarded polyolefin polymer composition with reduced antimony trioxide content comprising: (a) at least one polyolefin polymer; (b) at least one brominated flame retardant (c) at least one antimony trioxide synergist and, (d) at least one calcium borate on an inorganic carrier. There is also provided a method of making said flame retarded polyolefin polymer composition and article thereof.
