A method, including receiving, by a computer, a two-dimensional image (2D) containing at least a physical surface and segmenting the physical surface into one or more physical regions. A functionality is assigned to each of the one or more physical regions, each of the functionalities corresponding to a tactile input device, and a sequence of three-dimensional (3D) maps is received, the sequence of 3D maps containing at least a hand of a user of the computer, the hand positioned on one of the physical regions. The 3D maps are analyzed to detect a gesture performed by the user, and based on the gesture, an input is simulated for the tactile input device corresponding to the one of the physical regions.

A portable handheld system for imaging of a throat of a patient, including: a mouthpiece including at least one bite guide for stabilizing the mouthpiece with respect to teeth of the patient when the patient bites on the at least one bite guide; intraoral optics operable to collect light from the throat of the patient and to direct the light towards an imaging sensor; and an imaging sensor operable to capture light directed by the intraoral optics to provide an image of the throat; wherein a mechanical connection between the mouthpiece and the intraoral optics constrains a spatial relationship of the intraoral optics with respect to the mouthpiece so that when the patient bites on the at least one bite guide: the intraoral optics is stabilized by the mouthpiece inside a mouth of the patient having a FOV which includes at least part of a tonsil of the patient.

Systems and methods for throat imaging

An otoscope, comprising: (a) a flexible speculum, operable to be inserted into an ear canal; (b) a stopper, coupled to the flexible speculum, operable to limit penetration depth of the flexible speculum into the ear canal; and (c) an imaging sensor, located inside the flexible speculum, operable to capture an image of an eardrum of the ear canal; wherein a flexibility of the flexible speculum allows alignment of the imaging sensor according to a shape of the ear canal.

Apparatus and methods for performing body imaging

A user moves a handheld inspection device toward a skin region that includes a target skin lesion. A current image of the skin region or part thereof that includes the target skin lesion as currently taken by the handheld inspection device is displayed on a screen, with the target skin lesion marked. When reaching a close distance from the target skin lesion, a close-up inspection is performed. If the target skin lesion is missing in the current image, the close-up inspection process is interrupted, and the user is instructed to move the handheld inspection device to a remote distance from the skin region for restarting the inspection process.

Apparatus and method for inspecting skin lesions

System, method and computer program product for physiological monitoring

A method for controlling configuration display screens within a client-host multi-source system, including transferring look & feel parameters from a host device to a client device, setting parameters of a configuration program for the client device, according to the look & feel parameters transferred by the transferring, generating, by the configuration program, a graphic image of a screen, the graphic image conforming to the look & feel parameters, and displaying the graphic image on a display screen of the host device. A system and a computer-readable storage medium are also described and claimed.

Adaptive user interface for multi-source systems

A method includes receiving a sequence of three-dimensional (3D) maps of at least a part of a body of a user of a computerized system and extracting, from the 3D map, 3D coordinates of a head of the user. Based on the 3D coordinates of the head, a direction of a gaze performed by the user and an interactive item presented in the direction of the gaze on a display coupled to the computerized system are identified. An indication is extracted from the 3D maps an indication that the user is moving a limb of the body in a specific direction, and the identified interactive item is repositioned on the display responsively to the indication.

A wireless communicator including a housing, wireless communication functionality located within the housing, native user interface functionality cooperating with the wireless communication functionality and including user interface surfaces located on at least one outer facing surface of the housing, and pouching responsive electrical interconnection functionality responsive to pouching orientation of the housing in a pouch of an enhanced function device for automatically causing the wireless communication functionality to adapt to interoperation with parenting user interface functionality forming part of the enhanced function device at least partially instead of with the native user interface functionality. A video communication apparatus is described, which includes a receiver for receiving video data from an internet telephony service over a communication channel, a display screen for playing the received video data received by the receiver, a wireless module for communication with a handset, and a processor configured to coordinate playing of the received video data on the display screen in synchronization with playing, by the handset, of audio data received by the handset from the internet telephony service. A handset is also described, which includes a receiver to receive audio data from an internet telephony service over a communication channel, an audio output to play the received audio data received by the receiver, a wireless module to communicate with a display device, and a processor. The processor can synchronize, using the wireless module, play of the received audio data on the audio output with display, by the display device, of video data received by the display device from the internet telephony service.

A mufti-source client-host system that maintains a uniform look & feel user interface, including a host device including a central processing unit, a storage memory for storing look & feel parameters for a graphical user interface, the graphical user interface employing a plurality of graphic images for user interaction, and a display for displaying the graphic images employed by the graphical user interface, a client device that can be attached to and detached from the host device, including a central processing unit, and a configuration program for generating at least one of the graphic images employed by the graphical user interface, the at least one of the graphic images conforming to the look & feel parameters, and a communication channel between the host transceiver and the client transceiver, for data transmission.
