A hydrodynamic torque converter () with a converter torus formed by a pump wheel () and a turbine wheel () and a guide wheel (). The guide wheel () is supported rotatably by a first axial bearing () and a second axial bearing (). A sealing device (), with a sealing gap, is provided in the area of the first axial bearing (), which impedes a through-flow of the working fluid of the torque converter () through the first axial bearing ().

Hydrodynamic torque converter

A hydrodynamic torque converter () with a lock-up clutch () in the form of a disk clutch in a clutch space () and with a piston () for actuating the lock-up clutch (). The lock-up clutch () has an end disk () and a first disk carrier (), on which the end disk () is radially and axially supported. The end disk () is arranged on the side of the lock-up clutch () remote from the piston (). The lock-up clutch () has a second disk carrier (). A sealing element () is provided, on the second disk carrier (), a sealing gap () is formed between the end disk () and the sealing element ().

Hydrodynamic torque converter with a lock-up clutch

A hydrodynamic torque converter () with a lock-up clutch () in a clutch space, () and with a piston () for activating of the lock-up clutch (). The piston () separates the clutch space () from a piston chamber (). The piston (), via the application of pressure, can be moved, from a starting position in which the lock-up clutch () is disengaged, in the engaging direction of the lock-up clutch (). The piston () has at least a closable opening () through which hydraulic fluid can flow from the piston chamber () into the clutch space (). The opening () is open if either the piston () is away from the starting position and/or if a fluid pressure in the piston chamber (), compared to the clutch space (), is elevated. The closing element () is tongue-shaped element which serves closing and opening of the opening ().

A hydrodynamic torque converter () with a pump wheel () and with a turbine wheel (), and with a torsion damper () and with an intermediate space () located between the turbine wheel () and the torsion damper (), and with a torus formed by the pump wheel () and the turbine wheel () for hydraulic fluid. A flow-guiding wall () is provided, which deflects a radially outward flow of hydraulic fluid coming from the torus, back radially inward to the intermediate space ().
