A shifting tool includes a body having a longitudinal axis and a structure engaging member supported by the body. The structure engaging member is configured to engage and shift a structure within a tubular. A puncture device is supported by the body. The puncture device is configured to engage a barrier within a flowbore of the tubular in a direction of the longitudinal axis.

A wellhead assembly has a tubular wellhead body with a wellhead axial bore and a wellhead radial bore. A hanger has a hanger axial bore and a hanger radial port. A tube moving mechanism moves a tube in the wellhead radial bore between a retracted position, an intermediate position and an extended position. The tube has an inner end that is recessed in the wellhead radial bore while in the retracted position, that protrudes a first distance into the wellhead axial bore while in the intermediate position, and which protrudes a second distance into engagement with the hanger radial port while in the extended position. A landing shoulder on the hanger above the radial port lands on an inner portion of the tube while the tube is in the intermediate position.

An insert safety valve system includes a valve body including a valve member. The valve body includes a central passage and a flow path arranged radially outwardly of the central passage. A release sub is coupled to the valve body. The release sub is configured and disposed to support a downhole tool. A connector member selectively couples the release sub and the valve body.

An annular sealing element to seal between metal surfaces for use in flanges, joints, packers and the like, located in oil and gas exploration and production equipment. The sealing element has inner and outer metal deformable surfaces joined at ends, defining an interior volume which is entirely filled with a plastic deformable material. The surfaces are arranged such that on compression of the element from the ends, the element will deform in a controlled manner on a cantilever principle. The volume of filler and the interior volume remain substantially equal during compression so that delamination does not occur. Thus the sealing element provides a seal combining the flexibility of elastomer seals with the integrity of a metal to metal seal.

An actuator device for downhole tools comprising: indexing means for progressively moving a rupturing member (); a pressure activated actuating member in fluid communication with a chamber; and a frangible member (HA) interposing the indexing means and the chamber, wherein the actuator device is adapted such that, upon a predetermined movement of the rupturing member, the rupturing member ruptures the frangible member to allow high pressure fluid to enter the chamber and activate the actuating member.
