A guided rotor compressor that contains at least three hollow rollers, each of which has a sheath surrounding a core. The coefficient of friction of the sheath and the core is from about 0.01 to about 0.15, but the coefficient of friction of the core is at least 1.2 times as great as the coefficient of friction of the sheath. The core has a cross-sectional area that is at least about 1.5 times as great as the cross-sectional area of the said sheath. Each of the core and the sheath has a coefficient of thermal expansion of from about 1&#xd7;10to about 20&#xd7;10. Each of the core and the sheath has a a notch Izod impact strength of from about 50 Joule-meters to about 100 Joule-meters.

Compressor assembly

A system for compressing gas comprised of a liquid lubricated rotary positive displacement compressor system. The system contains a rotary positive displacement compressor, a device for separating a mixture of gas and liquid to produce a separated liquid connected to the compressor, a device for cooling the separated liquid to produce a cooled separated liquid, and a device for feeding the cooled separated liquid into the compressor.

Compressor and dehydrator system

A rotary device containing a housing having a curved inner surface with a profile equidistant form a trochoidal curve, an eccentric mounted on a shaft disposed within the housing, a rotor mounted on the eccentric shaft which contains at least three sides, a partial bore located at the intersection of adjacent sides, and at least three rollers rotatably mounted within the partial bores of the roller. The rotor is comprised of a front face, a back face, a first side, a second side, and a third side. On each front and back face, between adjacent sides, an opening is formed. The openings are on opposing front and back faces are offset from a centerline of the rotary device.

A multistage compressor assembly containing at least two guided rotor compressor stages, each of which contains an eccentric mounted on a shaft located within a housing, a rotor mounted on the eccentric shaft which contains at least three intersecting faces, a partial bore located at the intersection of adjacent faces, and at least three rollers rotatably mounted within the partial bores of the rotor.

Multiple stage compressor with rotors using rollers

A process for generating electricity in which a gas/liquid mixture is compressed in a compressor, partially purified in an accumulator/separator, partially purified in a coalescent filter, subjected to pressure regulation, and then fed to a microturbine. The microturbine produces a direct current which is used to drive a direct current motor which, in turn, drives a generator which produces alternating current.

Power generation system

An electric generating system comprised of a micro turbine and a rotary device containing a housing having a curved inner surface with a profile equidistant from a trochoidal curve, an eccentric mounted on a shaft disposed within the housing, a rotor mounted on the eccentric shaft which contains at least three intersecting faces and a partial bore located at the intersection of adjacent faces, and at least three rollers rotatably mounted within the partial bores of the rotor. Heat from the micro turbine is passed to a boiler, wherein it is used to generate heated liquid and/or heated fluid.

Rotary positive displacement device

A process for generating electricity in which a gas/liquid mixture is compressed in a compressor, partially purified in an accumulator/separator, partially purified in a coalescent filter, subjected to pressure regulation, and then fed to a microturbine.

Distributed generation system

A system for generating electricity containing a power generating device and, operatively connected thereto, a fluid lubricated rotary positive displacement system. The rotary positive displacement system has a feed means for supplying gas at a pressure of from about 0.2 p.s.i.g. to about 400 p.s.i.g. to a rotary positive displacement compressor. The rotary positive displacement compressor has a discharge pressure of from about 20 to about 950 p.s.i.g., a pressure ratio per stage of from about 1.1 to about 6.0, and a flow capacity of from about 5 to about 3,000 standard cubic feet per minute. The system also contains a receiving tank connected to the rotary positive displacement compressor, a device for feeding liquid to the receiving tank, a device for cooling a mixture of gas and liquid, a device for separating a mixture of gas and liquid, and a device for feeding liquid to the rotary positive displacement compressor.

A process for controlling a system for generating electricity which contains at least two compressors and two microturbines. Compressed gas from a pressure vessel is supplied to the first microturbine, and thereafter the pressure within the pressure vessel is measured. If the pressure is below a specified value, a first compressor is caused to operate to feed compressed gas to the pressure vessel. Thereafter, as the system needs require, a second compressor and, optionally, a third compressor is caused to furnish compressed gas to the pressure vessel. If the system pressure within the pressure vessel is too high, the third compressor is shut down and, if necessary, the second compressor and the first compressor are then sequentially shut down.

Process for controlling compressors

A rotary device containing a housing with two side plates, a shaft, an eccentric connected to the shaft, a rotor mounted on the shaft, a first gear, and a second gear. The rotor contains at least 3 sides, the housing has an interior surface defined by at least a first lobe and a second lobe, the first gear is an internal gear which is connected to the rotor, the second gear is an external gear connected to the housing, the difference between the pitch diameter of the first gear and the pitch diameter of the second gear is is equal to twice said eccentricity of the eccentric, and the ratio between the pitch diameter of the first gear and the pitch diameter of the second gear is equal to the ratio between the number of said sides in said rotor divided by the number of lobes in the interior surface of said housing.

Phased rotary displacement device

A system for maintaining gas pressure within a gas delivery system. This system contains a first gas flow straightener, a contaminant separation tank, an inlet manifold, a rotary positive displacement compressor, a second gas flow straightener, a radiator, an oil separator/gas receiver tank, and a third gas flow straightener.

Gas pressure maintenance booster system

A controller comprised of a high speed central processing unit, at least about 32 analog input channels operatively connected to the central processing unit, at least about 48 digital input channels operatively connected to the central processing unit, at least about 32 digital output channels operatively connected to the central processing unit, at least 20 control input channels connected to the central processing unit, and electroluminescent display means for displaying graphical information connected to the central processing unit.

Apparatus for controlling a multiplicity of compressors

A rotary device containing a housing with a curved inner surface in the shape of a trochoid and an interior wall, an eccentric mounted on a shaft disposed within the housing, a rotor mounted on the eccentric shaft and several pins attached to the rotor and extending from the rotor to the interior wall of the housing. A continuously arcuate track is disposed within the interior wall of the housing, and the pins are disposed within the track.

An auxiliary drive apparatus which comprises an engine, a first hydraulic pump driven by the engine, a second hydraulic pump driven by the engine and integrally connected to the first hydraulic pump, a third hydraulic pump driven by the engine and integrally connected to the second hydraulic pump, a first pressure limiting valve connected in parallel to the first hydraulic pump, a first vacuum breaking valve connected in parallel to the first hydraulic pump, a first hydraulic motor connected in series to the first hydraulic pump, a second pressure limiting valve connected in parallel to the second hydraulic pump, a second vacuum breaking valve connected in parallel to the second hydraulic pump, a second hydraulic motor connected in series to the second hydraulic pump, a third pressure limiting valve connected in parallel to the third hydraulic pump, a third vacuum breaking valve connected in parallel to the third hydraulic pump, and a third hydraulic motor connected in series to the third hydraulic pump.
