Self-emulsifiable antifoams containing an organopolysiloxane in which at least 80 mole percent of the siloxane units are dihydrocarbon siloxane units, a filler, a water-soluble cellulose derivative, and as an additional dispersant, at least one compound having the following general formula:

Self-emulsifiable antifoams

Antifoams containing an organopolysiloxane and a solid dispersed in said organopolysiloxane, in which at least a portion of the organopolysiloxane is an organopolysiloxane which has a viscosity of from 5 to 40 mm.sup.2.s.sup.-1 at 25.degree. C. and contains on the average at least 0.5 alkoxy groups per Si-atom and has an SiC-bonded monovalent hydrocarbon radical linked to each silicon atom.

Antifoams

Antifoam compositions containing organopolysiloxanes having antifoaming properties and a solid material finely dispersed in said organopolysiloxanes in which at least a portion of the solid material is a product obtained from the reaction of an isocyanate and an organic compound having at least one hydrogen atom capable of reacting with the N.dbd.C.dbd.O group.

Antifoam compositions

A composition containing a mixture of (a) an aqueous emulsion obtained from the emulsion polymerization of a diorganopolysiloxane having an average viscosity of at least 20,000 cSt at 25.degree. C and component (b) which is selected from the class consisting of (i) a paraffin wax, (ii) a perfluoropolymer in which some of the fluoro groups may be substituted with chlorine atoms and mixtures thereof. The composition is applied as a lubricant to organic fibres to improve their slip properties.

Lubricants for organic fibres

A method for improving the lubricity and antistatic properties of organic fibers comprising coating the fibers with a composition containing a diorganopolysiloxane, a phosphorous compound capable of imparting antistatic properties to the fibers, and, if desired, paraffin waxes.

A water repellent composition comprising an aqueous solution of alkali metal alkyl and/or phenyl siliconates, an organic aqueous soluble complexing or chelating agent and an aqueous miscible monovalent alcohol and/or ketone. This composition may be applied to building materials, such as masonry surfaces to render them water repellent.

Stable water repellent compositions

A method of manufacturing molded structures and coatings based on curable inorganic binding agents and water which comprises coating shape-imparting surfaces made from materials such as wood, plaster, plastic or iron, with a mixture containing a curable organosilicon compound, a solvent and finely dispersed solid particles, such as silicon dioxide, quartz powder, diatomaceous earth and silicious chalk, applying the building materials, curing and removing the molded structures.
