The invention relates to a pressure transmitter for an overload-proof pressure gauge, comprising a base body, a separating membrane disposed on a pressure-sensitive side of the pressure transmitter and subjectable to a pressure to be measured, a communicating chamber located inside said base body, which receives a pressure transmission medium, said chamber being closed on the pressure-sensitive side by the separating membrane, wherein the coefficient of thermal expansion of the pressure transmission medium is established in such a way that a temperature-induced change in the volume of the communicating chamber equals a temperature-induced change in the volume of the pressure transmission medium.

Pressure transmitter

A pressure cell contains a base body ( ), a membrane ( ) that is arranged on the base body ( ) and can be deformed by a pressure to be measured, as well as a first and a second temperature sensor. The second temperature sensor is spaced apart from the first temperature sensor in the direction of a temperature gradient. Temperature shocks of the measuring cell can be determined and compensated by monitoring the difference between the temperatures measured by the sensors or changes in the temperatures measured by a sensor.

Pressure cell with temperature sensors and pressure measuring method

A pressure-measuring cell having a base and a diaphragm positioned on the base is deformed by a pressure being measured. A temperature-measuring sensor is positioned between the diaphragm and the base preferably embedded in a material layer that seals a compartment. The diaphragm is preferably made of a ceramic and the material layer is preferably made of a glass.
