An interlocking closure fastening device comprising a first closure element and a second closure element wherein the first closure element or the second closure element may comprise a plurality of closure element units having the same or alternately different structures. The closure fastening device is particularly adapted for multiposition occlusion of the closure elements such as in connecting various parts of plastic film to itself, different plastic films to each other, and variable-depth pouches, containers, or storage bags.

An interlocking closure fastening device comprising an omega-shaped closure element and a co-acting clamping closure element. The co-acting clamping closure element may have a profile portion comprising two generally parallel arm portions wherein one of the arm portions terminates in an inwardly curved hook portion, and the other arm portion curves slightly inward prior to terminating in an outwardly extending clamp portion; or the profile portion may comprise two outwardly curved arm portions wherein one of the arm portions terminates in an inwardly curved hook portion, and the other arm portion curves inwardly prior to terminating in a slightly outwardly curved hook portion; or the profile portion may comprise one inwardly curved arm portion terminating in an inwardly curved hook portion, and one generally straight arm portion.

Single hinge interlocking closure profile configuration

An interlocking closure fastening device comprising an omega-shaped closure element and a co-acting closure element having a trident profile configuration. The co-acting closure element has a profile portion comprising three generally parallel arm portions. The first arm portion terminates in a hook portion, the second arm portion is a generally straight structure having at least one enlarged portion located anterior to its extremity, and the third arm portion terminates in a funnel portion. An interlocking closure fastening device comprising a first closure element having an omega-shaped profile portion, and a second complementary closure element having a plurality of omega-shaped profile portions spaced to interdigitate with the first closure element and occlude with the first closure element. The profile portion of the first closure element is made from a stiff resin material, and is attached to a base portion made from a flexible resin material. The second closure element is made from a stiff resin material. The base portions of the second closure element are spaced from each other and interconnected by a flexible connecting portion. The closure device is adapted for use with reclosable plastic freezer storage and cooking bags.

An extrusion die apparatus for producing at least one plastic closure strip having profile and base portions, includes a die body having a die face, a profile channel defined in the die body and communicating with a profile die opening in the die face for extruding a profile portion, and a base channel defined in the die body and communicating with a base die opening in the face for extruding a base portion. The channels are adjacent to each other near the die openings and separated by a portion of the die body which terminates short of the face so that the extruded profile and base portions join together before exiting the die body.
