A device for ambulatory monitoring of brain activity includes a patch secured to a head of a monitoring subject and an electrode secured to the head of the monitoring subject. The electrode produces a signal indicating brain activity of the monitoring subject. The device further includes a signal processor that receives the signal produced by the electrode and processes the signal to produce data. The signal processor is secured to the monitoring subject. The device further includes a display that displays the data produced by the signal processor, the display being secured to the monitoring subject. The device also includes a power source secured to the monitoring subject, the power source providing power to the electrode, the signal processor, and the display wherein the monitoring subject may ambulate unimpeded by the patch, the electrode, the signal processor, the display and the power source.

Device for ambulatory monitoring of brain activity

The present invention relates to a method and a system of securely computing a measure of similarity for at least two sets of data. A basic idea of the present invention is to securely compare two sets of encrypted data to determine whether the two sets of data resemble each other to a sufficient extent. If the measure of similarity complies with predetermined criteria, the two sets of data from which the encrypted sets of data originate are considered to be identical.

Securely computing a similarity measure

In a method of encoding input signals (CHto CHto) in a multi-channel encoder () to generate corresponding output data having down-mix output signals () together with complementary parametric data (), the method includes a first step of down-mixing input signals (CHto CHto) to generate the corresponding down-mix output signals (), and a second step of processing the input signals (CHto CHto) during down-mixing to generate the parametric data () complementary to the down-mix output signals (). Processing of the input signals (CHto CHto) involves including information in the down-mix signals () which is useable during subsequent decoding of the down-mix output signals () and the parametric data () to determine at least some parameter data and thereby enabling representations of the input signals (CHto CHto) to be subsequently regenerated.

Multi-channel encoder

A system for authenticating a physical object includes an enrolment device, an authentication device, and a storage for storing authentication data. The enrolment device includes an input for receiving a property set Y of the object measured using a measurement procedure. A processor is used for creating a property set I from the measured property set Y that meet a predetermined robustness criterion. It then creating a property set A from the property set I that includes less information on the actual properties than property set Y, and finally generates a control value V in dependence on properties of the property set A. An output is used for supplying the control value to the storage as part of the authentication data. The enrolment device operates in an analogous way.

Method and system for authentication of a physical object
