Disclosed herein are systems and methods for optimizing antivirus scanning of files on virtual machines. In one aspect, an exemplary method comprises, determining whether there is a record about a file in a verdict cache, when there is, assigning the verdict found in the verdict cache to the file, and when no record is found in the verdict cache, determining whether the file is currently being scanned in a parallel thread, when the file is currently being scanned in a parallel thread, blocking the scanning of the file until the scanning in the parallel thread is completed, and placing a result of the scanning in the parallel thread in the verdict cache, and when the file is not currently being scanned in a parallel thread, performing the scanning of the file on a current thread, and placing a result of the scanning on the current thread in the verdict cache.

System and method of optimizing antivirus scanning of files on virtual machines

A method and system is provided for detecting malicious files in a distributed network having a plurality of virtual machines. An example method includes: determining and obtaining, by a virtual machine, at least one file for performing an antivirus scan; collecting data relating to characteristics of computing resources of each virtual machine and parameters relating to the antivirus scan; determining an approximation time function of the characteristics of the computing resources and an approximation function of the one or more parameters for determining an approximation time function of effectiveness of the antivirus scan; and beased at least on the approximation time function of effectiveness of the antivirus scan, selecting one virtual machine to perform the antivirus scan in order to determine whether the at least one file is malicious.

System and method of distributing files between virtual machines forming a distributed system for performing antivirus scans

A method and system is provided for detecting malicious files on a virtual machine in a distributed network. An example method includes, receiving, by a thin client operating on the virtual machine, data relating to characteristics of computing resources of servers in the distributed network with each server being able to scan files to detect malicious files. The method for includes obtaining a on the virtual machine, identifying and selecting, using the data relating to characteristics of the computing resources, one of the servers to perform the scan of the file on the virtual machine, and transmitting to the selected server the file for scanning.
