An electronic component in which connection elements are connected to electrode ends or electrode coatings and which is tightly surrounded by a polymer envelope is considerably reinforced with respect to bending loads on the connections and is less sensitive to the penetration of moisture when at least one of the connection elements, from the connection point, is provided with a loop which first of all extends in a direction substantially opposite to the emanating direction and towards the electronic component and then extends in the emanating direction.

Electronic component with wire connections

During operation of a solid electrolytic capacitor having manganese dioxide as a semiconductor compound, the impedance and the loss factor increase whereas the capacitance decreases. This can be attributed to a dissociation of the manganese dioxide, in which process oxygen is released which attacks the housing. This is obviated by introducing MnO.sub.2 powder in the housing, either in loose form or, preferably, by dispersing finely distributed manganese-dioxide powder in the material of the housing.

Solid electrolytic capacitor

A magnetic device comprising at least one thin domain layer of a magnetizable material which has an easy axis of magnetization which is substantially normal to the surface of the layer and in which magnetic domains are propagated under the influence of a bipolar current, for example an alternating current, by a pattern of electrically conductive material with which the layer is provided. Elements are furthermore present which cause an asymmetry force and thus determine the direction in which the domains are propagated. The electrically conductive material and the elements are present in a single pattern which is constructed from at least a layer of magnetic material.

Magnetic domain device

A magnetic bubble domain memory system having a first bubble domain path composed of Permalloy pattern elements, and a second bubble domain path composed of a current conductor is disclosed. Separate drives are associated with each of the paths, so the advantages of both types of domain propagation can be combined on a single memory chip. The first and second paths are interconnected, so transfer of domains between paths is possible.
