A flexor for use in a ski binding or mounting plate for a cross country or touring ski, comprises an extending flexor arm and a holding and positioning portion, wherein the extending flexor arm is connectable to, or integral with, the holding and positioning portion such that the extending flexor arm can rotate and/or displace with respect to the holding and positioning portion around the point of connection between the two. The extending flexor arm is formed such that the amount of displacement of the extending flexor arm as a result of an applied force acting thereon follows a substantially linear relationship, up to a first desired amount of displacement. For a displacement of the extending flexor arm greater than the first desired amount of displacement, the amount of displacement of the extending flexor arm as a result of an applied force acting thereon follows an approximately exponential relationship.

The present disclosure relates to a single piece base portion () for a locking mechanism () for a ski binding (), in particular a cross country or touring ski binding. The base portion () comprising: a planar resting portion (); one or more, preferably two, support sections () extending out of the plane of the planar resting portion (). In particular, each of the support sections () comprises an axle pin hole () for receiving an axle () of a part associated with the locking mechanism (). Further, the lowest section () of the axle pin hole () is aligned with the upper surface () of the planar resting portion ().

The present invention relates to a multi-element flexor unit () for a ski binding (), in particular a cross country or touring ski binding. The flexor unit () comprises: a flexor element () which is attached, attachable or integrally formed with a base element () for interaction and attachment with the ski binding () in a removeable manner. Further the base element () is provided with part of a snap-fit connector () for attaching the multi-element flexor unit () to the ski binding (). Also disclosed is a ski binding () for housing the multi-element flexor unit ().
