An aircraft for generating torque. The aircraft includes a motor coupling a lifting rotor and a torque rotor, and is configured to spin the lifting rotor in a first direction to generate lift and spin the torque rotor in a second direction to generate drag-torque. The torque rotor and the lifting rotor are coupled or decoupled from one another during flight or on ground.

Counter rotating torque drive for rotary wing vehicle propulsion

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that provides increased operational flight endurance and efficiency. The UAV includes a power generation system, which includes an internal combustion engine and one or more batteries (batteries). The power generation system is configured to generate power for propulsion of the UAV. The internal combustion engine is configured to power a lift propeller, generating vertical lift of the UAV, and the batteries are configured to power a micro-propeller assembly, propelling the UAV in a forward direction or multiple additional directions.

Long range endurance aero platform system

Omni-directional, extensible grasp mechanisms are disclosed. Such grasp mechanisms may be used as a robotic end effector for docking, grasping, and manipulating space structures, or to interconnect other structures or vehicles. Novel interconnected lattice structures may enable large arrays to be assembled. The grasp mechanisms may be used to create structures from parallel docking linkages. This may enable reconfiguration of multiple docked space vehicles and/or structures without the use of propellant. The grasp mechanisms have the ability to make and break connections multiple times, enabling a nondestructive and reversible docking process.

Omni-directional extensible grasp mechanisms

A space vehicle may extract and store energy, and also include a propulsion system. The space vehicle includes one or more wings connected to a body of the apparatus. Each of the one or more wings includes a propellant system configured to eject mass away from the apparatus, the ejection of the mass causes the apparatus to move from a first position to a second position.

An aircraft that includes torque rotor and a lifting rotor, and generates torque from the torque rotor. The torque rotor may optimize drag production while the lifting rotor may optimize lift production limiting compromise between drag and lift production rotor.

A spin stabilized aircraft may include a plurality of wings that passively spin stabilize the aircraft, causing the apparatus to move in a direction opposite that of a wind source. The aircraft may also include two or more propulsive arms that actively stabilize the aircraft in absence of wind or a decrease in altitude.
