A downhole tool suitable for use in a wellbore, the tool having a double cone having a dual-cone outer surface. The downhole tool includes a carrier ring disposed around one end of the double cone, and a slip disposed around or proximate to an other end of the double cone. There is a guide assembly engaged with the slip.

Downhole tool and method of use

A downhole tool having a mandrel, and a bottom slip disposed around the mandrel. The bottom slip includes a circular body having a one-piece configuration characterized by a plurality of slip segments by at least partial material connectivity therearound. The bottom slip is made of a filament wound composite material, which means the bottom slip has a plurality of layers joined by respective interface layers. An outer slip surface of at least one of the plurality of slip segments is defined in cross-section by a plane P that intersects a longitudinal axis of the downhole tool at an angle awhen the bottom slip is in an unset position.

A setting tool assembly configured to couple with a part of a workstring, the assembly having an inner housing coupled with one or more other components. A trigger device is coupled with a movable piston. During run-in, the piston is in a first position. Upon activation, the trigger device undergoes an altering event whereby the piston moves to a second position as a result of a pressure acting thereon.

A downhole tool having a mandrel, a first slip, a second slip, a lower sleeve, and a tethered ball assembly. A downhole tool for use in a wellbore that includes a mandrel; a first slip disposed around the mandrel, the first slip further comprising a one-piece configuration; a first cone disposed around the mandrel, and proximate to the first slip; a second slip disposed around the mandrel; a second cone disposed around the mandrel; a sealing element disposed around the mandrel, and between the first cone and the second cone; and a lower sleeve disposed around the mandrel, and proximate to the first slip. A downhole tool suitable for use in a wellbore, the tool comprising a hybrid sleeve in the form of a mandrel sleeve; and a sleeve insert disposed within the mandrel sleeve. The tool further includes a first slip disposed about the mandrel sleeve; and a second slip disposed about the mandrel sleeve and proximate to a conical surface. There is a lower sleeve proximate to the second slip. At least a portion of the sleeve insert is radially laterally proximate to a sealing element disposed around the mandrel.

The tool has a fingered member disposed around the mandrel, a fingered bearing plate disposed around the mandrel, and also a fingered lower sleeve disposed around and coupled to the mandrel. A downhole tool for use in a wellbore, the tool having a metal slip made of a reactive metallic material. The downhole tool further includes a mandrel made a composite material, a seal element, and a composite slip. The composite slip has a circular composite slip body having one-piece configuration with at least partial connectivity around the entire circular composite slip body, and an at least two slip grooves disposed therein.
