A method and apparatus for determining presence of an object to be tidied in a washroom. A beam is supplied to a surface of the washroom at a first location. A reflected beam received from the surface of the washroom or received from an object in the path of the beam to the surface is detected. The presence of the object is determined from feedback from the beam based on a comparison of the feedback with a detection result when the beam reflects from the surface at the first location. An object to be tidied output signal is issued indicating that an object to be tidied is present based on the determination on the presence of an object.

A packaging unit formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface, an outer surface and one folding axis dividing the sheet into a first region and a second region. The inner surface includes an inner edge portion and an outer edge portion, wherein one of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is provided with adhesive, and the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is adhesive-free. One of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region is provided with adhesive, and the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region is adhesive-free in a complementary manner to the edge zone of the first region.

A paper towel dispenser includes a housing for holding a stack of interfolded towels. The housing includes a front wall, a rear wall, two outer side walls, an upper wall and a support surface for the stack of towels, the stack of towels being located adjacent and parallel to at least the front wall. The front wall extends a predetermined distance below the support surface. A dispensing opening is located between the front wall and the support surface, and at least one guide element is arranged to support a leading panel of a first towel adjacent the front wall and a leading edge of the leading panel parallel to the lower edge of the front wall.

An absorbent laminated paper article is a rectangular sheet having first parallel edges in a first direction, second parallel edges in a second perpendicular direction and an article area delimited by the edges. The article includes at least two plies adhesively bonded in a bonding pattern between the plies. The bonding pattern includes bonding elements arranged along a first set of bonding lines extending from one of the first parallel edges to the other of first parallel edges in a first direction at a first angle to the first direction and along a second set of bonding lines extending from the one of first parallel edges to the other of first parallel edges in a second direction at a second angle to the first direction, the first set of bonding lines intersecting with the second set and forming an intermeshing network of bonding lines.

Method for producing a multi-ply web comprising at least three plies of flexible material, such as paper and nonwoven material and a multi-ply product produced according to the method. A first and second ply are glued together with a first glue pattern and a second and third ply are glued together with a second glue pattern which, as seen in the thickness direction of the multi-ply web, is substantially aligned with the first glue pattern.

Method for producing a multi-ply web of flexible material, such as paper and nonwoven material, comprising at least one first and one second ply which are interconnected by gluing in a plurality of discrete glue sites. The multi-ply web is produced by bringing a first ply in contact with a patterned glue transfer roll, transferring glue to the first ply in a glue pattern, a second ply is brought in contact with the glue applied side of the first ply in a press nip between a patterned lamination roll and an impression roll, the glue transfer roll and the lamination roll being in register with each other and having corresponding patterns.
