An architecture of an ignition and/or injection managing system for an internal combustion engine, of the type structured to cooperate with an electronic engine control unit. Also included is an electronic device architecture for determining the operating phase of an internal combustion motor, based on an input signal issued from a sensor of a phonic wheel associated with the motor camshaft, so as to release the electronic motor control unit from monitoring the phonic wheel signal, in order to lighten its computational load, and to enable the processing of the signal issuing from a variety of the phonic wheels. The device has the task of calculating the angular position of the drive shaft by analyzing the signal transmitted by the tone wheel of the drive shaft. A module is provided that is capable of emitting an interrupt signal toward the control unit on the basis of received signals.

Electronic architecture of an automatic system for driving an internal combustion engine

A method and related system for performing fuzzy procedures in processing devices. The method provides for calculating a degree of activation of a fuzzy proposition represented by input values having a fuzzy set associated to a triangular or trapezoidal membership function. The membership function is defined by a defined range of the input values and by an abscissa of the maximum value assumed by said membership. The method includes storing solve values corresponding to the range of definition and to the abscissa of the maximum value. The degree of activation is calculated as a function of the stored solve values, and storing of solve values includes storing the values measured on the abscissa and further at least one value measured on the ordinate corresponding to the membership function.

Process for performing fuzzy procedures in processing devices, corresponding processing device and computer program product

A cryptation system for information transmitted through packet switching networks masks the digital information data by combining it at the transmitting station with digital data of a certain cryptation code before transmitting the so-encrypted data through the network. The system also performs an inverse decrypting processing at the receiving station using the same code. The system generates at a transmitting station and at a receiving station, starting from a given pair of password codes or user key, a certain discrete chaotic model or map of the pair of codes or key, producing dynamically updated pairs of values of codes or keys every certain number of processing steps of the chaotic map. The data to be transmitted is masked by way of a logic combination with the current dynamically updated keys at the transmitting station. The data is demasked at the receiving station by way of a logic decomposition of the digital data from the current dynamically updated key thereby returning the digital data to a normal non-encrypted condition.

Cryptation system for packet switching networks based on digital chaotic models

A neuro-fuzzy integrated architecture which permits on-line self-training includes at least one microcontroller of the fuzzy type dedicated to fuzzy rules computing and integrated monolithically on a semiconductor together with a non-volatile memory. Also included within the same integrated circuit are a microprocessor, a volatile memory unit, and an arbiter block linked to a bus interconnecting the fuzzy microcontroller, the microprocessor, and the volatile memory unit. The arbiter block controls access to the memory unit by the microprocessor or the fuzzy microcontroller. An additional fuzzy co-processor may be connected between the fuzzy microcontroller and the microprocessor for performing the fuzzy logic operations.

Neuro-fuzzy network architecture with on-line learning capabilities and corresponding control method

A circuit implementing a non-integer order dynamic system includes a neural network that receives at least one input signal and generates therefrom at least one output signal. The input and output signals are related to each by a non-integer order integro-differential relationship through the coefficients of the neural network. A plurality of such circuits, implementing respective non-integer order controllers can be interconnected in an arrangement wherein any of the integral or differential blocks included in one of these circuits generates a signal which is fed to any of the integral or differential blocks of another circuit in the system.

The method for authentication and electronic signature is of the private-key, challenge and response type between a user requesting an authorization, via, for example, a smart card and a controller&mdash;check terminal&mdash;supplying the authorization. To increase security of the authorization or authentication operations, the smart card comprises a chaotic generator generating user's acknowledgement code, which is compared with a comparison code generated by the check terminal using a chaotic generator which is the same.
