An electronic device, according to various embodiments, comprises: a communication unit; and a control unit, wherein the control unit may be configured to: receive, from one or more second electronic devices, via the communication unit, data regarding feedback on an image while transmitting the image that is received from a first electronic device to the one or more second electronic devices for displaying in the one or more second electronic devices; create a partial image for the one or more second electronic devices from the image on the basis of the data regarding the feedback; and provide the one or more second electronic devices with the partial image as an image corresponding to a user's preference associated with the one or more second electronic devices.

A graphical user interface (GUI) may be displayed on a display unit in an apparatus which may include a tactile sensor unit. When a contact by a user is detected at the tactile sensor unit, a control unit may receive a contact detection signal therefrom. Based on the contact detection signal, the control unit may determine a contact pattern and may then display the GUI corresponding to the contact pattern. The GUI may be displayed and modified depending on the location and pressure of contacts by a user's manipulating fingers. Therefore, a user can manipulate the apparatus without any inconvenience or accidental touches.

Method and apparatus for displaying graphical user interface depending on a user's contact pattern

Disclosed is a method for controlling a display and a display using the same. The method includes: detecting the approach of a user's hand to the display unit, determining a user's input hand shape; and displaying a display screen corresponds to the determined user's input hand shape. Through the present invention, a user may render a higher menu list and a lower menu list to be displayed on one screen, and may control display screen shift direction and speed, merely by performing a finger extending and folding action. Further, the user may control the size of a display screen by inputting the finger extending and folding action.
