Disclosed is a display device including a display panel including a plurality of pixels and a voltage generator providing an anode initialization voltage to the pixels. The display panel is divided into a first display area operating at a first operating frequency and a second display area operating at a second operating frequency. While pixels, which correspond to the first display area, from among the plurality of pixels are driven, the anode initialization voltage has a first voltage level. While pixels in the second display area from among the plurality of pixels are driven, the anode initialization voltage has a second voltage level different from the first voltage level.

Multi -frequency mode display device

A display device includes: a display panel including pixels, a data driving circuit, a scan driving circuit which drives a plurality of first scan lines and a plurality of second scan lines, and a driving controller which controls the data driving circuit and the scan driving circuit to drive a first display area of the display panel at a first operating frequency and drive a second display area of the display panel at a second operating frequency lower than the first operating frequency while an operating mode is a multi-frequency mode. During the multi-frequency mode, first scan signals provided to first scan lines, which correspond to the second display area, of the plurality of first scan lines are maintained at inactive levels in predetermined frames, and second scan signals provided to the plurality of second scan lines transition to active levels at least twice in each of the predetermined frames.

Display device including multiple display regions for multi-frequency driving

A display device includes a display panel, a data driver, a scan driver, and a light emitting driver. The display panel includes a first display area and a second display area. The display panel displays a first image on the first display area and the second display area in a first mode, and displays a second image on the first display area in a second mode. The light emitting driver activates emission control signals applied to the first display area and the second display area in the first mode. The light emitting driver activates emission control signals applied to the second display area during a first partial frame in the second mode, and maintains the emission control signals applied to the second display area in a deactivation state during a plurality of second partial frames in the second mode.

A display device includes a display panel including a first partial panel region and a second partial panel region, and a panel driver which drives the display panel. The panel driver determines a first driving frequency for the first partial panel region and a second driving frequency for the second partial panel region. In a case where the first driving frequency and the second driving frequency are different from each other, the panel driver sets a boundary portion including a boundary between the first partial panel region and the second partial panel region, and determines a third driving frequency for the boundary portion to be between the first driving frequency and the second driving frequency.

A display apparatus is disclosed that comprises a display panel. The display panel includes a display region that includes a first display area and a second display area. A data driver is configured to provide a data voltage to the display region. A gate driver is configured to provide a compensation gate signal and an initialization gate signal to the display region. The gate driver includes a first stage and a second stage. A driving controller is configured to control the gate driver and the data driver. The driving controller is configured to determine a first driving frequency for the first display area and a second driving frequency for the second display area. The second stage is configured to provide the compensation gate signal having a pulse duration shorter than a pulse duration of the compensation gate signal provided to the display region by the first stage.

Display apparatus and method of driving the same

A display device includes a display panel, a data driver, a scan driver, and a driving controller. The display panel includes a first display area and a second display area, which operate at different frequencies from each other in a multi-frequency mode. The driving controller controls the data driver and the scan driver. The driving controller generates boundary compensation data by compensating for boundary image signals, which are input to correspond to a boundary area of the first display area in the multi-frequency mode and drives the data driver based on a compensation image signal including the boundary compensation data.
