A display device includes: a substrate; a display element layer disposed on the substrate, where the display element layer includes a light emitting element which emits light; a polarizing film disposed on the display element layer, where the polarizing film includes a first polarizer having a first absorption axis extending to a first direction and a first transmission axis extending to a second direction orthogonal to the first direction; and a first layer disposed on one surface of the polarizing film, where the first layer has a first phase difference. Light emitted from the display element layer has a polarizing axis, and an angle between the polarizing axis and one of the first absorption axis and the first transmission axis is in a range of about 25 degrees to about 65 degrees.

Display device and optical inspection method for the same

An optical film may include: a phase retardation layer; a polarizer disposed on the phase retardation layer and including a first part defined by a pair of sides extending in a first direction and a pair of sides extending in a second direction and a second part protruding from the first part; and a protective film protecting the polarizer. Here, one short side of the second part of the polarizer adjacent the first part may include a curved part. The polarizer may include an absorption axis in a direction parallel to a tangent line of a part having the most curvature at the curved part.

An organic light emitting diode display including: a display panel; a first retarder on the display panel and including a first reactive liquid crystal; a second retarder on the first retarder and including a second reactive liquid crystal; and a polarizer on the second retarder, wherein a first optical axis of the first reactive liquid crystal is inclined by 2&#x3b8;+45&#xb0; relative to an absorption axis of the polarizer, and a second optical axis of the second reactive liquid crystal is inclined by &#x3b8; relative to the absorption axis of the polarizer.

Organic light emitting diode display

A first polarizing member includes a polarizing layer, a phase difference layer and an infrared reflective layer. The polarizing layer linearly polarizes light and emits polarized light. The phase difference layer changes a polarization state of the polarized light. The infrared reflective layer is interposed between the polarization layer and the phase difference layer, wherein the polarized light passes through the infrared reflective layer and infrared rays are reflected from the infrared reflective layer.
