A display device includes a display panel which displays an image, a cover window which is disposed on a first surface of the display panel, and a first sound generator which is disposed on a second surface opposite the first surface of the display panel and outputs sound by vibrating the display panel. The cover window includes a first lattice pattern area including lattice patterns surrounding the first sound generator in a plan view.

Display device and method of fabricating the same

A display device includes: a substrate comprising a first contact hole; a thin-film transistor layer on a first surface of the substrate and comprising a plurality of insulating layers and a thin-film transistor; an etching stopper on one or more of the insulating layers and contacting the substrate through a second contact hole surrounding the first contact hole in a plan view; a connection line on the etching stopper; and a pad part on a second surface of the substrate opposite the first surface of the substrate and connected to the connection line through the first contact hole.

Display device and tiled display device including the same

A tiled display comprises display devices adjacent to one another and each comprising first pixels and second pixels, a first boundary area where longer sides of at least two of the display devices are adjacent to each other, and a second boundary area where shorter sides of at least two of the display devices are adjacent to each other. Each of the first pixels and the second pixels comprises sub-pixels. The first pixels are disposed in the first boundary area such that the sub-pixels of the first pixels are parallel to the longer sides of the display devices. The second pixels are disposed in the second boundary area such that the sub-pixels of the second pixels are parallel to the shorter sides of the display devices.

Tiled display

A display device includes a first display panel including a first substrate, and a second display panel adjacent to the first display panel in a first direction and including a second substrate. One side surface of each of the first and second substrates adjacent to a first boundary between the first display panel and the second display panel includes an uneven pattern, the uneven pattern of the first substrate includes a plurality of first convex portions and a plurality of first concave portions between the first convex portions, the uneven pattern of the second substrate includes a plurality of second convex portions and a plurality of second concave portions between the second convex portions, each of the first convex portions includes at least one first hole passing through the first substrate, and each of the second convex portions includes at least one second hole passing through the second substrate.

Display device

A tiled display device includes a plurality of display devices including a plurality of display areas including pixels, and a coupling area between adjacent display areas from among the plurality of display areas. Each of the plurality of display devices includes: a substrate including a first portion configured to support the display area, a second portion extending from the first portion to be bent, and a third portion extending from the second portion, a display layer on the first portion of the substrate and including the pixels, a connection line at an edge of the first portion of the substrate and connected to the plurality of pixels, a pad portion on the third portion of the substrate, a fan-out line on the second portion of the substrate and connected between the pad portion and the connection line, and pattern holes penetrating the second portion of the substrate.

A display device includes a flexible substrate including a folding area, a non-folding area adjacent to the folding area along a first direction, and a first surface in both the folding area and the non-folding area, a light-emitting element layer on the flexible substrate, and a support which faces the light-emitting layer with the flexible substrate therebetween, forms an interface with the first surface of the flexible substrate and is bendable together with the flexible substrate. The support includes a first support corresponding to the folding area, a second support corresponding to the non-folding area, and a through hole extended through the support. The through hole is extended through the first support, and a first portion of the first surface of the flexible substrate is exposed to outside the support by the through hole in the first support.

Display device and method of providing the same

A display device includes a display panel in which first holes arranged in a first direction and a second direction that intersects the first direction are defined, and a first panel bottom member which is disposed on one surface of the display panel and in which second holes arranged in the first and second directions are defined. A maximum length of a second hole among the second holes in the first direction satisfies 'e×(a+c)' where a denotes a maximum length of a first hole among the first holes in the first direction, c denotes a minimum distance between neighboring first holes among the first holes in the first direction, and e is a positive integer.

Display device and sound system including the same

A display device is provided. The display device may include a first substrate, a first set of light emitting elements, and a second set of light emitting elements. The first substrate may include a first set of holes. Each hole of the first set of holes may extend through the first substrate. Each of the first set of light emitting elements and the second set of light emitting elements may overlap the first substrate. The first set of holes may be positioned between the first set of light emitting elements and the second set of light emitting elements in a plan view of the display device.

A display device includes a pixel in a display area. A display device and a haptic feedback method having the same provide a display panel which displays an image, a cover window on a first surface of the display panel and including a tactile pattern, and an actuator which is disposed on a second surface opposite the first surface of the display panel and overlaps the tactile pattern in a width direction of the display panel. The actuator outputs a sensing voltage according to applied pressure and generates vibrations according to applied driving voltages.

Display device having etch stoppers with through holes

A display device includes a display panel, a bracket disposed on a first surface of the display panel, and a first vibrating device disposed between the first surface of the display panel and a first surface of the bracket which faces the first surface of the display panel. The first vibrating device is configured to output a first sound and provide a haptic feedback by vibrating the display panel and the bracket.

Display device and sound providing method of the display device

A display device includes: a display panel including a pixel array layer on one surface of a first substrate for displaying an image; a sound generator for transmitting an ultrasound; and an ultrasonic sensor for receiving an ultrasound reflected by an object on the display panel. The sound generator and the ultrasonic sensor are on the other surface of the first substrate opposite to the one surface of the first substrate. The ultrasonic sensor includes a plurality of ultrasonic sensor units arranged in a matrix form, and the ultrasonic sensor senses the object using the reflected ultrasound received by the plurality of ultrasonic sensor units.
