Disclosed herein is an air conditioner that is designed to include a first space in which an evaporator is disposed and a second space in which a condenser is disposed and which is divided from the first space. An outdoor unit and an indoor unit are integrally formed, and thus it is easy to move the air conditioner. A structure and disposition of a heat exchanger are improved, and thus heat exchange efficiency is improved. Operations of a cooling mode and a dehumidifying mode are possible.

An electronic device operation method and apparatus. A current state of a device such as TVs or VCRs is indicated as a graphic moving picture of a familiar character shape. Pictures containing an associated character shape are stored in correspondence with a various states of the electronic device. The pictures are formed of fonts each of which has a predetermined magnitude and corresponds to a block of the picture. One or more fonts are read during the time of shifting a device state according to a user key input, and the fonts are changed at time intervals to display a moving picture. A sound corresponding to the moving picture may be output together with the displayed moving picture, to further enhance the device state indication. Thus, a current state of the electronic device is more recognized by persons who do not read characters.

Method and apparatus for indicating states of electronic devices

An elastic sided curved absorbent pad is provided with soft side edges providing efficient leakage protection without irritation. The pad has elasticized side panels which comprise at least two layers of non-woven material mounted between a cover and baffle, projecting beyond the side edges of the cover and the baffle, giving the panel soft, free outer distal edges and one or more elastic members inboard from the free distal edge. The layers of non-woven material and the elastic member are bonded together, except for the distal edges which are not bonded. This provides a lace-like appearance and feel.

An individually packaged absorbent article and a method for making the same is disclosed. The individual package comprises an absorbent pad having side tabs and a wrapper having a central release strip which may be parallel or perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the wrapper. On either side of the central release strip are tab release members, the tab release members and the central release strip being permanently attached to the wrapper. The wrapper and the absorbent pad are folded as a unit about at least two lateral spaced-apart fold lines.
