A display device comprises a display area including a plurality of pixels, a peak driving determination part determining peak driving based on an input image signal, a normal driving compensation part including a first luminance lookup table having a first luminance as a peak luminance, a peak driving compensation part including a second luminance lookup table having a second luminance higher than the first luminance as a peak luminance, a compensation adjusting part that generates a peak driving gamma curve by smoothing a first and second luminance gamma curves corresponding to the first and second luminance lookup tables and generates a peak driving lookup table according to the peak driving gamma curve, and a signal controller generating an image data signal by applying one normal driving lookup table to a portion of the display area and applying the peak driving lookup table to an other portion of the display area.

Display device capable of performing peak driving in display area and driving method thereof

A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a display panel driver, and a zone compensating circuit which divides the display panel into a plurality of unit blocks, obtains load values of input image data for the unit blocks, and generates corrected image data by correcting the input image data based on the load values. Each of the load values corresponds to one of the unit blocks. The display panel driver generates a data signal for displaying an image on the display panel based on the corrected image data. When grayscale values included in the input image data are the same, a luminance of the image displayed on the display panel is decreased moving away from a center of a reference block having a largest load value among the unit blocks based on the corrected image data.

A display device including: a display area including pixels connected to data lines and scan lines, the display area including a plurality of signal output lines connected to each of the scan lines through a contact; a data driver including a first data driving circuit at a side of the display area; a scan driver disposed at the side of the display area; and a timing controller, wherein the first data driving circuit includes: output buffers which respectively output data signals to first to k-th data lines (k is an integer greater than 2) of the data lines; and an output delay controller which transmits the data signals to the output buffers through first to k-th transmission lines, and controls delay times of the data signals output to the first to k-th transmission lines based on position information of a pixel row to which the data signals are supplied.

A display device includes: a pixel part partitioned into blocks; a scale factor provider which calculates a first load value of input image data for the pixel part, calculates a second load value of the input image data for each block, and generates a scale factor based on the first and second load values; and a timing controller which generates image data by scaling gray values of the input image data based on the scale factor. The scale factor provider generates a first scale factor for commonly controlling the gray values for the blocks based on the first load value, when the first load value is greater than or equal to a reference load value, and generates a second scale factor for controlling gray value for each block based on the first and second load values, when the first load value is less than the reference load value.

A display device includes a plurality of pixels grouped into blocks divided into block rows extending in a first direction and arranged in a second direction, wherein each block includes two or more pixels connected to a first power source line, and each pixel is assigned with a grayscale value in a range of grayscale values that is divided into a plurality of grayscale sections; and a first power source voltage adjuster selecting a reference block row, and determining a magnitude of a first power source voltage supplied to the first power source line based on a number of blocks in the reference block row having a grayscale section that is same as a maximum grayscale section of the reference block row. The maximum grayscale section corresponds to a grayscale section that includes a largest grayscale value having a grayscale value ratio greater than a minimum ratio.

The display device may include a display panel including a plurality of unit blocks disposed in a display area, the plurality of unit blocks including a first area displaying a logo or a banner, a second area having largest load value and a third area disposed between the first area and the second area, a display panel driver configured to generate data voltages based on input image data, and a zonal compensator configured to receive the input image data, to calculate load values of the input image data for the plurality of unit blocks, respectively, and to control luminance of each of the first area and the third area based on a location difference between the first area and the second area and a load value difference between the first area and the second area.

A display device includes a pixel unit including pixels, a timing controller configured to generate image data based on input image data, a data driver configured to generate a data signal corresponding to the image data and supply the data signal to the pixels, a power supply configured to supply a power voltage to the pixel unit, and a power controller configured to calculate a load value and a peak grayscale value based on the input image data, and to generate a power control signal to change a voltage level of the power voltage based on the load value and the peak grayscale value.

A display device includes a pixel unit including pixels, a compensator which generate compensation image data by scaling grayscale values of input image data based on temperature data corresponding to an ambient temperature of the pixel unit, a timing controller which generates image data based on the compensation image data, and a data driver which generates a data signal corresponding to the image data and supply the data signal to the pixels. The compensator scales the grayscale values of the input image data in a way such that the grayscale values of the input image data decrease when the ambient temperature is greater than a reference temperature. A traveling control system of an autonomous vehicle includes a 2D LIDAR sensor, a wheel speed sensor for detecting a speed of the vehicle, a yaw rate sensor for detecting a rotational angular speed of the vehicle, and an error corrector for determining a straight-line situation using a LIDAR point detected by the 2D LIDAR sensor, extracting a straight lateral distance value according to the result of determination, accumulating the LIDAR point according to the trajectory of traveling of the vehicle detected by the wheel speed sensor and the yaw rate sensor, estimating an error between the accumulated point and the extracted straight line, and calculating and feeding back an offset correction parameter of the yaw rate sensor when the estimated error value is greater than a predetermined threshold value to automatically correct an error parameter of the yaw rate sensor.
