The present disclosure relates to a lithium secondary battery including a protective layer and a volume-expandable layer, a method for manufacturing the lithium secondary battery, and a system for evaluating the safety of the lithium secondary battery. According to the present disclosure, it is possible to inhibit growth of lithium dendrite primarily by forming a protective layer. It is also possible to inhibit growth of lithium dendrite secondarily by forming a volume-expandable layer. Therefore, it is possible to provide a lithium secondary battery fundamentally prevented from a short-circuit.

The present disclosure relates to a solid electrolyte membrane for an all-solid-state battery and a battery including the same. The battery may include lithium metal as a negative electrode active material. The solid-electrolyte membrane provides an effect of inhibiting growth of lithium dendrite by ionizing lithium deposited as metal. A composite electrolyte membrane according to the present disclosure includes a phase change layer on a surface in contact with an electrode, for example, a positive electrode. Thus, when lithium metal is used as a negative electrode for a solid-state battery comprising the solid electrolyte membrane, it is possible to delay and/or inhibit growth of lithium dendrite, and thus to effectively prevent an electrical short-circuit caused by dendrite growth.
