An image signal process apparatus and a method for controlling thereof are provided. The image signal process apparatus includes a storage unit storing pixel data of an incoming frame image, a scaling filter generating one frame image by scaling the pixel data, and a controller retrieving a part of the pixel data among pixel data of the frame image stored at the storage unit, and transmitting the retrieved pixel data to the scaling filter. As a result, a process of processing a stereoscopic image may be reduced such that deterioration of an image quality may be prevented, and a data processing time may be reduced.

Apparatus for processing image signal and method for controlling thereof

An image apparatus for processing 3D images and a method for controlling thereof are provided. The apparatus includes: a display unit onto which data is scanned; and a display driver which makes left frame image data and right frame image data be alternately scanned onto the display unit and makes removal data for removing the left frame image data or the right frame image data be scanned onto the display unit between the left image frame data and the right image frame data. Therefore, while an image is being scanned, a residual image of the previous frame image is not displayed.

A displaying apparatus includes a connector having a DDC communication pin which communicates with a video card provided in a computer main body, a video signal processing unit which processes picture signals supplied through the connector, a power circuit unit which converts commercial alternating current (AC) power into driving voltages, and a controlling unit which controls power supplied to each of signal processing units from the power circuit unit to be on or off in response to existence or non-existence of DDC voltage signals input through the DDC communication pin of the connector. An LCD monitor with a dual interface, having a DVI-I connector through which digital and analog video signals from a computer main body are input, and digital and analog display modes according to the type of the input video signal. The monitor includes a signal sensing part to sense the video signal input through the DVI-I connector; and a control part to adapt the display mode for the type of video signal input when the computer main body is performing system booting, based upon the sensing result of the signal sensing part. A power saving apparatus of a monitor which is capable of reducing power consumption in a monitor by controlling the power supplied to a signal sensor in a power saving mode and a controlling method thereof are provided. The power saving apparatus includes a power supply unit which supplies operational power to the signal sensor, which senses an input state of a video synchronization signal input into thereto and generates data based on the input. A microprocessor determines whether the monitor is in a power saving mode or a normal mode based on the data generated by the signal sensor, and then cuts off the power supplied to the signal sensor if the monitor is determined to be in a power saving mode. The power is intermittently resupplied to and cut off from the signal sensor during the power saving mode.
