A display panel includes an emission element which outputs a source light and includes a first electrode, an emission layer disposed on the first electrode, and a second electrode disposed on the emission layer; a pixel definition layer defining an opening exposing at least a portion of the first electrode; a light-conversion pattern disposed on the pixel definition layer; a first light-blocking pattern disposed on an outer side of the light-conversion pattern in a plan view; and a second light-conversion pattern disposed on the emission element and which overlaps with the emission element in the plan view, wherein the first and second light-conversion patterns are spaced apart from each other or forming an interface therebetween.

A display panel including a light emitting element to emit a source light and including a first electrode, a light emitting layer disposed on the first electrode, and a second electrode disposed on the light emitting layer and outputting a source light, a pixel definition layer including an opening exposing at least a portion of the first electrode, an optical conversion pattern disposed on the pixel definition layer, a reflection pattern disposed on the light emitting element and including an inclined surface, and a first light blocking pattern disposed outside from the optical conversion pattern when viewed in a plan view.

Display panel including reflection pattern

A display device including a display panel and a light source to irradiate to the display panel a first color light having a peak wavelength within a specific wavelength range. The display panel includes a first display substrate, a second display substrate facing the first display substrate and including a base substrate, a metal layer, which includes metal grid patterns disposed on the base substrate, and a color conversion layer, which is disposed on the base substrate to cover the metal grid patterns, and a liquid crystal layer provided between the first and second display substrates. The metal grid patterns are configured to block a fraction of an ambient incident light that is in a specific wavelength range, and a peak wavelength of the first color light is within the specific wavelength range.

Method of fabricating a display panel and a display device with the display panel

A color conversion substrate and a display device including the same. The color conversion substrate includes a color filter layer having a plurality of color filters, and a color conversion layer disposed on the color filter layer. The color conversion layer includes a plurality of dams, and a plurality of conversion parts disposed between the dams. A reflection layer is disposed on the dams, and a hydrophobic area is disposed on the reflection layer, overlapping an upper surface of the dams, and non-overlapping a side surface of the dams. The display device further includes a light source configured to output a first color light to the color conversion substrate.

Display device and method for manufacturing the display device

A display device includes a display panel and a light source for outputting a first color light to the display panel. The display panel includes a first display substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first display substrate and the second substrate. The second display substrate includes a base substrate, a color filter layer including a plurality of color filters spaced apart from each other on the base substrate, a color conversion layer including a plurality of dams, and a plurality of conversion parts overlapping the color filters, disposed on the base substrate, and disposed between the plurality of dams, a reflection layer disposed on the dams, and a hydrophobic area disposed on the reflection layer, overlapping an upper surface of the dams, and non-overlapping a side surface of the dams.

An approach is provided for manufacturing a nanostructure. A first thin film including a first block copolymer is formed on a substrate. A guide pattern is formed on the first thin film. A second thin film including a second block copolymer is formed between portions of the guide pattern. The second thin film is cured. The first block copolymer is a cylinder-type and the second block copolymer is a lamella-type.

Method of manufacturing nanostructure and method of forming pattern using the same

A display apparatus includes a first display panel with a plurality of first pixels, a second display panel facing the first display panel and having a plurality of second pixels, a light reflective polarizer, and a backlight unit. The light reflective polarizer is interposed between the first and second display panels to transmit light polarized in a first direction, and reflect light polarized in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The backlight unit is arranged proximate to the second display panel to supply light to the first and second display panels. The first display panel displays an image by using reflected ambient light, and the second display panel displays an image by using light from the backlight unit.

Display operable in both reflective and transmissive modes

A method of forming patterns includes forming a layer composed of a ketene based random copolymer on a substrate, forming a block copolymer on the ketene based random copolymer layer and patterning the ketene based random copolymer layer by removing a part of the block copolymer and a portion of the ketene based random copolymer layer.
