The present invention provides a gas removing device, which removes a gas generated inside a pouch, in which an electrode assembly is accommodated. The gas removing device includes a pair of vacuum tubes configured to press opposing surfaces of a pouch so as to form a vacuum surface on the pouch; a heating member provided on a pressing surface of each of the vacuum tubes, which presses the pouch, is configured to seal only a portion of an edge of the vacuum surface so as to form a sealed part and an unsealed part; a cutting member configured to cut the vacuum surface of the pouch and form a cutoff hole; and a gas discharging member configured to discharge a gas from inside the pouch to the outside through the unsealed part, the cutoff hole, and the vacuum tubes.

Gas removing device and method for removing gas from a pouch type case of a secondary battery

A degassing apparatus for a secondary battery, and a degassing method using same, is provided. The degassing apparatus includes a drive motor and a jig arm configured to pressurize a first surface of a gas pocket of a battery cell and a second surface opposite the first surface by controlling a separation distance by the operation of a driving motor. The degassing apparatus is capable of performing an effective degassing and sealing process for the battery cell without positional movement of the battery cell during cell activation or after cell activation.

A pressing jig for removing gas generated in an activation process of a battery cell includes a plate-shaped lower plate on which the battery cell that has undergone the activation process is placed and fixed, and an upper plate that presses the battery cell placed on the lower plate from above. At least one of the upper plate or the lower plate has a structure in which n (n≥3) separated sub-plates are assembled to form a single plate, and the sub-plates independently press the battery cell. The pressing jig can suppress trapping of internal gas by sequentially pressing the battery cell.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a secondary battery. The method comprises: a first process (S) of manufacturing an incomplete electrode assembly; a second process (S) of partially pressing the incomplete electrode assembly to manufacture a complete electrode assembly in which a bonding portion and a nonbonding portion coexist; a third process (S) of accommodating the complete electrode assembly into a case; a fourth process (S) of injecting an electrolyte through an opening of the case to impregnate the electrolyte into the electrode assembly; a fifth process (S) of sealing an unsealed surface in which the opening of the case is formed to manufacture a secondary battery; and a sixth process (S) of heating and pressing an entire surface of the secondary battery to bond the nonbonding portion of the interface between the electrode and the separator.
