A communication unit has a housing part provided with means for entering information, and a slide assembly. The housing part is provided with a set of tracks along which the slide assembly is slidable relatively to the housing part. The slide assembly includes a cover part and a set of sliding rails extending from said cover part in the sliding direction for being received in said set of tracks on the housing part.

The invention relates to a radio transmitting and receiving device with a housing (8) and an antenna (1) which has a rod (2) which can be retracted and extended through an opening (10) in the housing. The rod (2) can be secured in its respective end positions by a magnetic force.

A radio device comprising a housing having an opening and an internal retaining surface; an antenna support sleeve inserted in the opening and a rod antenna mounted for movement in the antenna support sleeve between extended and retracted positions; the sleeve including a resilient, outwardly-projecting finger which engages the retaining surface to prevent removal of the sleeve from the housing and the housing including an aperture through which the finger can be inwardly displaced using a tool, including a shank, to disengage the finger from the retaining surface, thereby enabling removal of the sleeve from the housing.
