A downhole sensor apparatus including a structure and an electronics package. The structure and the electronics package configured to be inserted into a recess in an earth-boring tool on a drill string. The downhole sensor apparatus may include a cradle extending away from a first surface of the structure. The cradle is configured to at least partially receive a battery therein. The downhole sensor apparatus includes a cap configured to engage with the earth-boring tool and secure the structure within the recess. The downhole sensor apparatus also may include a ring disposed between the structure and the cap. The ring is configured to transfer a force from the cap to the structure, forcing a second surface of the structure against a bottom surface of the recess. A frac system includes a first packer assembly having a first compression set packer and a first indexing member, and a second packer assembly arranged upstream of the first packer assembly. The second packer assembly includes a second packer, a second indexing member, a bypass inlet arranged upstream of the second packer, and a frac port arranged downstream of the second packer. The bypass inlet is fluidically connected to the frac port through a bypass flow path and is selectively opened without disengaging the second packer.

An embodiment of a fluid control device includes a housing, a fluid channel defined within the housing, the fluid channel having a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface and having an inlet, and a flow control body disposed in the fluid channel, the flow control body tapering toward the inlet. The body, in use, causing fluid flowing through the channel to diverge into at least a first path between the first surface and a first side of the body, and a second path defined by at least by the second side of the body. A geometry of the first path and the second path selected is based on a subcool of the fluid at a pressure of the fluid entering the fluid channel, and the geometry is selected to induce cavitation of the fluid to choke fluid flow through the fluid channel.

A method of improving production in a steam assisted gravity drainage operation, the method including positioning a tubular system within a borehole, the tubular system including a plurality of inflow control devices; injecting steam into a formation to assist in drainage of targeted resources from the formation; receiving fluids at an inlet of the inflow control devices; and regulating thermal conformance in the formation by choking liquids at the inflow control devices when the liquids have a subcool lower than a predetermined subcool at a selected drawdown pressure.
