Manually driven intraosseous devices and associated methods are described. The intraosseous device includes a housing and a transmission at least partially disposed within the housing. The transmission includes a first portion and a second portion. The second portion includes a manual actuator that is at least partially disposed outside of the housing. The intraosseous device also includes a penetrator assembly releasably connected to the first portion of the transmission. The transmission is configured to transmit a force, which is applied manually to the manual actuator, to the penetrator assembly to rotate the penetrator assembly relative to the housing and to drive the penetrator assembly through a bone into an intraosseous space. The manual actuator is a hand crank that is configured to be manually cranked by an operator to transfer rotational force to the first portion of the transmission.

Powered drivers () for inserting an intraosseous device () into a bone and associated bone marrow are disclosed. Some of the powered drivers () may include a housing () having a distal end () and a proximal end (); a motor () disposed in the housing (); a driveshaft () extending outward from the distal end () of the housing in a direction away from the proximal end (); a gearbox () coupled to the motor () and to the driveshaft () such that activation of the motor () causes the driveshaft () to rotate; and a power source () configured to power the motor (). A guard member () may be pivotably connected to the housing () and movable between a protective position and a non-protective position. The guard member () may be configured to cover the intraosseous () needle assembly in the protective position and to expose the intraosseous () needle assembly in the non-protective position. A biasing member () may be configured to urge the guard member () toward the non-protective position.

Powered intraosseous driver with protective member, and related kits, components, and methods

A biopsy device comprising: a cannula comprising an elongate cannula body extending between a cannula distal end and a cannula proximal end to define a lumen, wherein the cannula comprises a cutting portion at the cannula distal end; a stylet comprising an elongate body having a stylet distal end and a stylet proximal end, the stylet being slidably disposed within the lumen, wherein the stylet comprises a tissue sampling portion. The tissue sampling portion is formed by a notch in the body of the stylet at or near the stylet distal end. The biopsy device further comprises an actuator assembly, the actuator assembly arranged to move the cannula relative to the stylet between a retracted position in which at least part of the tissue sampling portion is exposed and an extended position in which the cannula at least partly surrounds the tissue sampling portion. The actuator assembly comprises a cannula actuator moveable between a primed configuration and an actuated configuration to move the cannula between the retracted position and the extended position. The biopsy device further comprises a selective coupling mechanism arranged to provide a selective coupling between the actuator assembly and one or both of the stylet and the cannula.

Provided herein is a mechanical device including a rotating spool assembly and a disposable valve assembly. The rotating spool assembly includes a hub, an arm, and a spool inserted through an opening in the arm. The rotating spool assembly can be sterilized after each use. The disposable valve assembly includes a mating stem member, a sealing member, and a flushing port member. The disposable valve assembly can be disposed of after every use. A loading member is also provided including a wire that can be formed from metal drawn out into a thin flexible thread. The loading member can be pre-formed in a helix to form coils in the wire. A release cord is provided including a braided cord with two single filaments and a plurality of beads formed along a length of the single filaments at a distal end of the braided cord.

The present disclosure relates to a mechanical thrombectomy device that includes a catheter assembly with a basket assembly formed of a proximal hub and a distal hub; a flexible tube having a first end attached to the proximal hub and a second end attached to the distal hub; and a plurality of basket wires. The flexible tube may be laser-cut to allow for bending, elongation, and compression. The basket wires each have a first end attached to the proximal hub and a second end attached to the distal hub. The basket wires are disposed around the flexible tube and configured to expand to a preset shape. The basket assembly is attached to a distal end of a rotatable shaft. A drive assembly is configured to rotate the rotatable shaft to rotate the basket assembly. The basket assembly when rotated is configured to macerate a material proximate to the basket assembly.

The present invention relates to a deployment handle for a prosthesis delivery device and to a delivery device including such a handle. The handle assembly facilitates the controlled release of a prosthesis from the delivery device, while ensuring that various deployment steps are performed in a particular sequential order. The handle assembly comprises a main handle and a second handle which is rotatably and/or longitudinally moveable relative to the main handle. The second handle has an initial position on the main handle such that it prevents access to, and premature manipulation of, a proximal stent release mechanism, until the stent graft has been at least partially unsheathed.

A prosthesis delivery device and method of using the same is described. The delivery device comprises a rotatable inner cannula extending from a proximal end to a distal end with a prosthesis releasably coupled to the proximal end. A delivery handle assembly is disposed at the distal end of the delivery device. The handle comprises a first handle disposed about the inner cannula, a rotary dial rotatably disposed about a distal end of the first handle and a second handle disposed about at least a portion of the distal end of the first handle. The second handle is longitudinally moveable relative to the first handle between a first position wherein the sheath is coaxially disposed about the prosthesis and rotation of the rotary dial is prevented, and a second position wherein the sheath is retracted distally to expose at least a portion of the prosthesis and rotation of the dial is permitted.

A deployment device to deploy a prosthesis for interconnecting vessel portions of a body vessel is described herein. The device includes a support frame and an actuation member coupled to the support frame. The actuation member is movable between a first and a second position. A retaining member is movable between a closed and a open position. In the closed position, the retaining member forms a chamber to retain a length of a prosthesis in a compressed configuration. In the open position, the retaining member is positioned to allow the prosthesis to move to an expanded configuration. Movement of the actuation member to the second position causes movement of the retaining member to the open position. One or more retractable cuffs can be positioned over the ends of the prosthesis for selectively retaining the corresponding prosthesis ends in the compressed configuration.

The present embodiments provide systems and methods suitable for delivering a therapeutic agent to a target site. The systems generally comprise a container having first and second regions and a reservoir containing the therapeutic agent. A pressure source having pressurized fluid is in selective fluid communication with at least a portion of the reservoir. An outlet tube is in fluid communication with the reservoir of the container. At least one slot is formed in a lateral surface of the outlet tube at a position between first and second ends of the outlet tube.

Embodiments include a fiducial deployment system with a handle configured for actuation of same. A fiducial may include one or more protuberances configured to engage one or more slots in a needle of the system. The needle may be configured to deliver a plurality of fiducials to a target location in serial fashion, one at a time. In certain embodiments, echogenic placement of fiducials may present certain advantages. The handle may include structures configured for incrementally or otherwise controlledly deploying one or more fiducials by advancing a stylet through and/or retracting the body of a needle in which fiducials are disposed.
