A low parallax imaging device includes a plurality of imaging lens elements arranged to capture adjacent fields of view. In some examples, adjacent imaging lens elements may contact at datum features to maintain a desired spacing. The spacing may allow for partial overlapping of low-parallax volumes associated with the respective imaging lens elements.

An apparatus for rotating a bucky about an axis between a first and second position. The apparatus includes a base member stationarily disposed on the bucky and having a first and second rotational position; a first and second absorption member; and a first and second assembly. The first assembly is disposed at the first position and is slidably mounted relative to the base member. It includes a first detent adapted to receive a roller when the bucky is in the first position. The first assembly is disposed intermediate the first absorption member and base member such that the first absorption member biases the first assembly toward the base member. An intra-oral film packet holder. The packet holder comprises an arm and a holder portion disposed at one end of the arm. The holder portion comprises a first and second receiving area adapted to receive a intra-oral film packet. Each receiving area is defined by a pair of spaced opposing grooves. The first and second receiving areas are disposed adjacent each other, substantially parallel, and of differing lengths such that the first and second receiving areas are adapted to receive intra-oral film packets of different sizes.

A film cassette comprises a light-shielding door for preventing ambient light from entering the cassette interior, a film spool supported for rotation in film unwinding and film winding directions, and a locking device supported for movement into engagement with the spool to secure the spool and out of engagement with the spool to release the spool. According to the invention, the door is supported for closing movement to prevent ambient light from entering the cassette interior and for opening movement, and includes cam means for moving the locking device into engagement with the spool responsive to closing movement of the door. Also, the locking device is resilient to permit it to be temporarily deformed should it be obstructed from being moved by the cam means to engage the spool and the light-shielding means is forcibly closed, or should it be engaging the spool and the spool is forcibly rotated in the film unwinding and winding directions.
