A dwelling assembly that has a continuous sidewall and an opening for a door and a window. A roof assembly is provided with first and second roofs that are spaced apart such that the outer roof acts as a heat shield for the inner roof to ensure the interior of the dwelling is a minimum temperature. In addition, ballast boxes are utilized in order to provide additional weight to the dwelling and a planting area in association with the dwelling assembly.

An intermediate sump warning system having a sensor associated with a gate of an intermediate sump. The sensor is connected to a controller that activates a warning signal when the sensor detects that the gate is in an open position. The controller also deactivates the unloading system when the gate is open.

Vent assembly for a grain bin

A sump clearing device having a elongated tube attached to a backboard of a sweep auger. A second tube is attached to and extends through a sidewall of a grain bin. The second tube is aligned with the elongated tube. An elongated member having a clearing device is inserted through the second and elongated tube such that the clearing device is positioned above a center sump of the bin.

A grain bin assembly wherein the grain bin has a corrugated cylindrical wall and a roof structure having a plurality of triangular roof panels. The plurality of roof panels have rib junctions which form a gap. A vent assembly is positioned between the corrugated cylindrical wall and the roof structure. The vent assembly has a plurality of louvers positioned within the vent assembly. The vent assembly provides improved venting of the grain bin assembly.

A rotor assembly for a grain dryer having a framework and a number of wipers secured to the framework. The framework has a number of primary supports that extend radially outwardly from the central axis and a number of secondary support members connected to the end of the primary support members and positioned to engage the shelf floor of the grain bin.

A grain spreading device that uses a pre-spreading device within a cone shaped guide to provide uniform distribution of grain. Specifically, the pre-spreading device has an opening therein such that a distance between the opening and the outer periphery of the pre-spreading device forms a shelf to direct grain toward the opening to provide a uniform distribution of the grain. Additionally, the pre-spreading device can have laser cut knockouts to adjust the pre-spreading device to a plurality of different spreading devices.

A rail segment for use in a track assembly for supporting a stirring machine and mounted to a cylindrical grain bin having a longitudinal flange with a slot in a forward end portion of the flange and a connecting hole in a second end portion of the flange.

Adjustable grain bin rail for grain stirring machines

A sweep auger apparatus is radially disposed within a circular bin for moving a free-flowing granular material across the floor of the bin towards the center of the bin. A motor is connected to the radial inner end of the auger shaft to rotate the auger flighting about its horizontal axis. A drive wheel is connected to the radial outer end of the auger shaft for supporting the outer end of the auger shaft and for revolving the auger around the central vertical axis of the bin. The improved sweep auger includes panels or a tube connected to the backboard of the auger so as to reside beneath the auger flighting, and thereby minimize the amount of granular material left on the floor as the sweep auger revolves around the bin floor. The panels are adjustably mounted to accommodate variations in the level of the bin floor.

A coupler for coupling shafts has an inside coupling having an outer periphery and a center opening with a longitudinal axis which is adapted to receive the end of a driving shaft. An outside coupling has a center opening with an inner periphery, and is rotatably fitted over the outer periphery of the inside coupling. A plurality of arcuate notches are located in the outer periphery of the inner coupling and the inner periphery of the outer coupling and are adapted to register with each other in mating relationship wherein the mating notches present collectively a circular roller surface. A plurality of cylindrical rollers are rotatably mounted in the notches of the inside and outside coupling and serve to operatively join the inside and outside coupling for rotation together. The notches in the inside coupling have an arcuate portion capable of receiving the rollers in a nesting position without the rollers penetrating the notches in the outside coupling. Further, the shape of the notches in the inside coupling are also of a shape that if the inside and outside couplings are rotating in one direction in operative engagement to the rollers, and the inside coupling has its rotational motion retarded, the rollers will return to the nesting position within the notches of the inside roller to disengage the operative engagement between the couplings.

Method and means for coupling shafts

A method for transporting, drying and unloading lightweight particulate material involves taking a wheeled compartment having forward and rearward ends, a bottom, and opposite sides, forming a false bottom over the bottom to create an air duct therebetween, forming air ports in the false bottom which will deflect forced air passing therethrough from the air duct in a direction generally towards the rearward end, placing a quantity of peanut hulls in the compartment, forcing warm air into the air duct through the air ports and into the compartment to dry the peanut hulls, and moving the rearward end of the compartment to permit the air from the air ports to blow the dried hulls from the compartment out of the rearward end. An apparatus for transporting, drying and unloading lightweight particulate material includes a wheel-mounted frame, a compartment on said frame having a normally horizontal bottom, opposite sides, a forward end, and open top, and a rearward end pivotal gate, a false bottom floor located in the compartment spaced from and substantially parallel to the bottom to create an air duct therebetween, a plurality on laterally extending slits in the false bottom floor with at least some of said slits having an upwardly and rearwardly extending baffle element so that air moving through the slits from the air duct will move upwardly and rearwardly into the compartment, and means associated with the air duct for receiving air under pressure to cause air moved through the slits.

Method and means for transporting, drying and unloading lightweight

A combination of a wheel supported liquid manure tank having a rearward end and a liquid manure soil injection device secured to the rearward end. The injection device is mounted on the rearward end of the tank and is capable of being raised and lowered by hydraulic cylinders. A plurality of substantially parallel support arms extend rearwardly from the tank and have a disk rotatably supported intermediate the ends thereof. The disk is mounted at an oblique angle with respect to the forward line of travel of the tank, that is, the disk is inclined laterally from a vertical plane approximately 2 degrees and is skewed with respect to the line of travel approximately 5 degrees. The disk is adapted when engaging the soil to open a slit therein. A nozzle operatively connected to the tank has its lower end disposed immediately above the slit. A cleaning knife is secured to the nozzle adjacent the disk on one side thereof to engage the disk and remove particles of earth which might adhere to the disk. A rubber cleaning wheel with a lip thereon engages the opposite side of the disk for the same purpose. That wheel also extends rearwardly from the tank. A closure wheel is mounted on the rearward end of the support arm to rotate over the open slit to close the same.

Apparatus for injecting liquid manure into the soil

A carriage return apparatus for reciprocable longitudinal movement along a shaft that traverses a support rail of a grain stirring device mounted on a grain bin. The carriage return includes a primary carrier and a satellite carrier movably mounted on the shaft between first and second longitudinally spaced engagement plates protruding radially therefrom and a reversing rod assembly coupling the carriers together for movement in unison between the plates on the shaft. The primary carrier has a pivotally mounted drive bearing for frictionally engaging the shaft and moving both carriers therealong. The length of the reversing rod assembly can be selected so as to optimize the stirring coverage in the grain bin.
