A hydraulic drive () has a position selection device () in communication with a control valve () which, as a function of the actuation of the position selection device (), controls the connection of an actuating cylinder () with a hydraulic fluid source () and a reservoir (). A correction device provides a synchronization between the position of the position selection device () and the position of the actuating cylinder (). The correction device has a sliding valve means () which detects a reference range of the actuating cylinder () and an on-off valve means () effectively connected mechanically with the position selection device (). The on-off valve means () is open when the position selection device () is in the reference range and is closed when the position selection device () is not in the reference range.

Hydraulic drive

A hydraulic steering device () has a steering angle transmitter () in communication with a steering valve () which, as a function of the actuation of the steering angle transmitter (), controls the communication between a steering drive (), e.g., a steering cylinder () with a hydraulic pressure source () and a reservoir (), and a correction device (). The correction device () provides synchronization of the position of the steering angle transmitter () with the position of the steering angle drive () when the steering drive () or steering angle transmitter () is in a reference range and the position of the steering angle transmitter () and/or of the steering drive () varies from the reference range.

Hydraulic steering device

A non-rotating and axially secured connection between an inner joint part of a constant velocity joint and a driveshaft has an inner joint part at its outer circumference with tracks for receiving torque-transmitting balls or tripod arms for sliding on rollers, as well as a central bore with inner teeth. The driveshaft is inserted into the bore and is provided with corresponding outer teeth. At the end of the inner joint part facing the shaft end, the bore, with its inner teeth, changes into a through-hole with a smaller diameter. At the end of the driveshaft in front of the outer teeth, a cylindrical portion is provided carrying an axial securing mechanism.

Connection between inner joint part and driveshaft

A non-rotating and axially secured connection between an inner joint part of a constant velocity joint and a driveshaft has an inner joint part at its outer circumference with tracks for receiving torque-transmitting balls or tripod arms for sliding on rollers, as well as-a central bore with inner teeth. The driveshaft is inserted into the bore and is provided with corresponding outer teeth. At the end of the inner joint part facing the shaft end, the bore, with its inner teeth, changes into a through-hole with a smaller diameter. At the end of the driveshaft in front of the outer teeth, a cylindrical portion is provided carrying an axial securing mechanism.

A rotational fixed connection has a shaft whose axial end is provided with outer shaft teeth and a hub whose through-bore is provided with inner teeth. The connection is useful between a driveshaft in the driveline of a motor vehicle and a joint hub of a universal tripod joint or a constant velocity universal ball joint. The joints include the hub, torque transmitting roller elements, and an outer joint part. The outer shaft teeth of the shaft, at a distance from the hub teeth end at the shaft shank end, run out steplessly into the shaft shank. The outer shaft teeth end inside the hub with a stepped end. In the region following the outer shaft teeth, the shaft includes a tooth-free end portion. The tooth-free end portion carries or forms fixing elements which axially securingly rest against a hub end face at the end where the shaft terminates. The inner shaft teeth of the hub, at the end where the shaft terminates, includes a deformed portion which rests axially securingly against the end of the outer shaft teeth and prevents engagement therewith.

Rotational fixed connection

A constant velocity universal joint of the tripode type includes a roller assembly arranged on the tripode arm which is secured against unintentionally disengagement with the tripode arm. A pressure disc is provided which holds the roller assembly together as a unit and whose shape, relative to the ideal round shape, deviates radially inwardly. The radially inwardly directed deviation in shape is designed with a slightly smaller width of opening than the dimension corresponding to the maximum outer diameter of the spherical arm. In this way it is ensured that the roller assembly on the spherical tripode arm is self-holding after having been mounted.

Tripod constant velocity universal joint incorporating a retention

The area pressure in a constant velocity universal joint of the tripode type is reduced to improve the lubrication conditions. The ends of the arms of the inner joint part facing the two directions of rotation of the joint arms are each provided with a face extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the joint and to the axis of the respective arm. The inner is produced by a forming tool divided into two parts. The workpiece is journal-shaped and when shown in an axial section, comprises a convexly curved outer circumference. The pressing and/or forging burr is formed in such a way that the use of the workpiece is not adversely affected and therefore subsequent machining of the burr is not required. In the region of the burr, there is the face as a result of which the burr, relative to the outer contour, is displaced radially inwardly. A further embodiment of the invention has a spherically shaped outer face of the outer roller which is provided with a concentrically arranged, rotating, cylindrically shaped face, with the center plane of the outer roller extending perpendicularly relative to the axis of the arms and at the same time constituting the center plane of the face.

Constant velocity universal joint

A drive assembly for a motor vehicle, having two drivable axles, a first axle being driven permanently by a drive unit and at least a second axle being connectable via a double coupling assembly so as to be externally controllable. The double coupling assembly comprises a common drivable coupling carrier with outer plates and individual sets of inner plates each connected to the axles of the second driving axle. The double coupling is actuated by a common actuating device, thereby permitting both sets of plates of the double coupling to be loaded by the same amount of actuation forces.
