The invention relates to a switchable coolant pump for combustion engines which is driven by a pulley, wherein the impeller can be driven switchably by the pulley by way of a friction pairing. The switchable coolant pump according to the invention, comprising a connecting flange () for a pressure booster (), the flange being disposed on the pump housing (), and a working piston () disposed in a working cylinder (), is characterized, among other things, in that on/in the pump housing () both the pulley () in a pulley bearing () and the pump shaft () in a pump bearing () are mounted separately, and a sleeve receptacle () is disposed in the pump housing (), wherein an annular channel () is located in the annular bottom () of the receptacle, and an annular piston working sleeve () is inserted in the sleeve receptacle () in the pump housing (), and an annular piston () that is provided with an annular piston packing () is disposed displaceably in the annular piston working sleeve ().

Switchable coolant pump

A vane cell pump has a rotor mounted in a pump housing and driven by a shaft, multiple vane plates mounted in the outer circumference of this rotor, and an outer ring that surrounds the rotor and the vane plates, whereby this ring is disposed either directly in the pump housing, or in a setting ring that can be moved in the pump housing, along predetermined paths. The vane cell pump has transverse grooves disposed in the cylinder mantle surface of the rotor, between the bearing grooves of the vane plates, running over the entire rotor width, disposed parallel to the bearing grooves of the vane plates, spaced apart from the bearing grooves by a bearing crosspiece. These transverse grooves have a non-symmetrical cross-section progression, which has a low point in each cell chamber, which point is always disposed behind the cell chamber center axis, seen in the direction of rotation.

A regulatable coolant pump and a method for regulation of this regulatable coolant pump for internal combustion engines, which is driven by way of a pulley actives a valve slide using an electromagnetically activated piston pump equipped with a return spring in the form of a pressure spring. The pump implements a 'pump feed' using many small 'partial lifts.' A &#x201c;leakage volume stream&#x201d; that flows opposite to the &#x201c;pumped volume stream&#x201d; is superimposed on the &#x201c;pumped volume stream&#x201d; via the arrangement of circular apertures both in the inlet valve membrane of the working piston and in the outlet valve membrane so that the valve slide can be moved in defined manner and in a very robust and reliable manner, with low drive power via the defined superimposition of these two volume streams.

A lubricant valve for oil pumps of internal combustion engines has a double piston in a piston guide of a valve seat of the pump housing, the double piston consisting of a cold-start piston which is arranged in a control piston and is arranged in a cold-start piston guide which is arranged in the control piston, wherein, lying opposite the cold-start piston guide, a piston rod is arranged on the piston head of the control piston, on which piston rod, spaced apart from the piston head of the control piston, a working piston is arranged which the piston rod protrudes beyond in the form of a spacer rod, wherein, adjacent to the working piston, inflow holes are arranged in the piston head of the control piston and, adjacent to the piston head, outflow holes are arranged in the cylinder wall of the cold-start piston guide of the control piston.

Lubricant valve for oil pumps of internal combustion engines

A controllable coolant pump for internal combustion engines is driven by a belt pulley. The controllable coolant pump has a hydraulically actuated gate valve connected to a ring piston. An axial piston pump is disposed in the pump housing and is driven and 'operated' by means of a swashplate having a suction groove and disposed on the back side of the flywheel. The 'pumped volume flow' of the pump is controlled in a defined manner by means of a solenoid valve such that precise displacement of the hydraulically actuated gate valve is ensured.

Regulatable coolant pump

A blade wheel consisting of sheet metal for use in motor vehicle refrigerant pumps has blades that are cut out of a disk and pitched and base disk segments that lie adjacent to the blades and remain between the latter. The blade wheel is formed by at least two different blade wheel elements which are provided with cut out, pitched blades, are interconnected in a fixed manner and are arranged so that their respective base disk segments are offset in relation to one another, forming a gap therebetween, the elements thus forming a common bottom disk. A hub sleeve is provided in the center of one of these blade wheel elements (the hub disk), and the center of the other blade wheel element or elements (the bore disk or disks) is provided with a hub sleeve receiving bore, which can be pushed onto the casing of the hub sleeve.

A controllable coolant pump for internal combustion engines driven by torque transmission elements has a pump housing, a driven shaft mounted in the pump housing, an impeller wheel arranged fixedly in terms of rotation on a free, flow-side end of the shaft, and a pressure-activated valve slide having an outer cylinder covering the outflow region of the impeller wheel in a variable manner. The valve slide is of annular configuration and is arranged on piston rods mounted displaceably in the pump housing. An annular piston mounted in an annular groove in the pump housing and movable in a defined manner in the annular groove via excess pressure or vacuum is arranged on the piston rods in a manner lying opposite the valve slide.

Controllable coolant pump

A bearing arrangement for pump bearings mounted in plastic housings, in particular for coolant pumps, comprises a radial housing groove that is provided with an inlet bore, the groove being arranged in the coolant pump housing. A bearing groove located opposite the housing groove in the final mounted condition is provided on the bearing ring arranged in the bearing seat. This arrangement can be manufactured and mounted in a simple manner, permits tempering of the plastic housing, always ensures a high degree of efficiency of the pump with minimal manufacturing and installation expenditure, and permits the use of bearings as pump bearings with minor play of the bearing with a longer service life, low development of noise, and relief of the shaft sealing gasket, and many other benefits. The bearing arrangement always ensures high transmission of the axial forces from the pump bearing to the pump housing, combined with an optimal geometry of the sealing gap, and permits removal of the pump bearing without damaging the plastic housing, and, at the same time, reduces the recycling costs.
