A diaphragm actuator () for a control valve is shown including an actuator housing (), in which a diaphragm () including a diaphragm disk () is sealingly fitted thus forming a pressure chamber (), and furthermore at least one spring () is provided which rests against the diaphragm disk () and the actuator housing (), with the diaphragm disk () being connected to a valve stem () for actuating a valve body. At least two springs () are provided and are disposed one after another in an axial direction between the actuator housing () and the diaphragm disk (), with a spring seat element () linearly guided by at least one linear guiding element () being provided between the at least two springs ().

Diaphragm actuator for a control valve

In a control device for a technical processing plant, a pneumatically driven actuator having an actuator stem is provided together with a valve operated by the actuator, the valve having a valve stem. A valve element is attached to the valve stem. A stem connector connects the two stems to each other for a forced transmission of axial actuating movements and for modifying an axial distance between adjacent ends of the valve stem and the actuator stem to adjust a total axial length of the two stems. The stem connector comprises two half-shells connected to each other, and two positioning devices are provided for a friction-locking coupling of the half-shells to the respective ends. At least one of the positioning devices is designed to modify an axial attachment position of the half-shells along one of the stems.

The invention relates to an actuator () for controlling a fluid flow which comprises a valve housing (), a flow restrictor () and a valve seat (), in which the flow restrictor () is designed such that the flow restrictor ()&#x2014;together with a closure () which is connected to the valve housing ()&#x2014;will form a pressure-relieving chamber (), and as a result, a relative movement of the flow restrictor () and the chamber closure () together with the actuation will cause the volume of the pressure-relieving chamber () to change as a function of the direction of movement, and the flow restrictor () has a recess () which will allow the fluid to be controlled to flow into the pressure-relieving chamber (). The invention is characterized in that the seal () between the flow restrictor () and the valve housing () is designed such that, in the closing position, with the flow restrictor () resting tightly on the valve seat (), the seal () will have a sealing effect, and with the flow restrictor () not resting on the seat, the seal () will allow a defined amount of fluid from the pressure-relieving chamber () to pass through.

Actuator for controlling a fluid flow

In a valve system or method, an actuator is provided with an actuating rod. A valve is actuated by the rod and has a valve stem and a valve member secured thereto. A travel limiting device defines a travel limit of the actuating rod. A setting mechanism sets the travel limit. The actuating rod and valve stem are decouplable from each other. The setting mechanism comprises a connector for coupling the actuating rod and the valve stem, the connector being designed to set an axial spacing between the actuating rod and the valve stem.

Flow adjustment apparatus and method for limiting the travel of an actuating rod of an actuator of the flow adjustment apparatus

The invention pertains to a sealing arrangement,, which acts between a housingand a componentinstalled in the housing, with a stop, permanently connected to the housing; with a spring, which is supported on the stop; and, with at least one first sealing elementin working connection with the spring. Abutmentis designed to be adjusted against the force of the spring such that the springis completely compressed&#x2014;squeezed into a block&#x2014;and additional load can be exerted on the sealing element, so that in particular any leakage which has developed can be stopped&#x2014;on an emergency basis&#x2014;by the exertion of additional load on the sealing element, which has the effect of increasing the sealing force which the sealing elementexerts.

Sealing arrangement

A drive unit is designed as a diaphragm drive with return springs for shifting an associated actuator, connected by a diaphragm plate and a driving diaphragm, into a safety position. The drive unit also includes actuating springs that are held in a compressed state by two nested sleeve-shaped counterbearings that are locked during normal operation and located coaxially with respect to the return springs. The lock is formed by a temperature-dependent joint.
