A torque sensor for a belt-driven conical-pulley transmission. A first ramp surface is rigidly connected to a shaft of a conical disk pair, and a second ramp surface is rigidly connected to a sensing piston surrounding the shaft and axially and rotatably movable relative to the shaft. Balls are positioned between and in contact with the ramp surfaces and with a guide surface rigidly connected with an axially movable disk. The guide surface is so configured that the contact points of a particular ball with the ramp surfaces, the contact point of that ball with the guide surface, and the center point of that ball lie in a radially oriented plane.

Torque sensor for a belt-driven conical-pulley transmission

The invention relates to a hydraulic system for actuating a continuously variable belt-driven conical-pulley transmission having two conical pulleys encircled by an endless torque-transmitting means, each of which comprises two conical disks, one of which is axially movable depending on the pressure in an associated pressing chamber, and having a torque sensor which includes a torque sensing chamber that is connected to a hydraulic energy source and is linked with the pressing chambers. The invention is distinguished by the fact that the pressing chambers are connected via a first hydraulic resistance element to the torque sensing chamber, and via a second hydraulic resistance element to an additional pressure chamber, in which a lower pressure prevails than in the pressing chambers and/or the torque sensing chamber.

A sensing device integrated into a conical disk pair includes a sensing piston that is axially movable relative to the input shaft over a radially stepped guide surface that is formed on a shaft on which the sensing device is carried, and a corresponding opposing stepped surface formed on the sensing piston. The steps define a damping chamber between the guide surface and the opposing surface, whose volume changes when the sensing piston moves axially relative to the shaft.

Conical disk pair for a belt-driven conical-pulley transmission

A device for damping vibrations, in particular a torsion vibration damper with a primary component and a secondary component, coupled together through a torque transfer device and a damping coupling device. The torque coupling device includes a ramp mechanism for converting a rotation of one of the two elements, primary component or secondary component, into an axial force proportional to the input moment, which acts upon the other element. A device for compensating the resulting axial forces for generating an opposing force, opposing the resulting axial force, wherein the input moment is designed for a mean input torque. A conversion device is also provided, which directly converts an occurring force difference between the resulting axial force and the opposite force into a control variable for operating an actuation device in the device for damping vibrations, whereby an adaptation of the opposite force is performed.

A method and a device for flow switchover are described, the time to switch over the fluid being shortened. This is accomplished by a three-way valve, which may be provided with additional connections to the pump and the slider is designed accordingly. With the help of the connections and additional pressure storage in the slider, a corresponding pressure force is stored, which is used during the switchover process, when the connections to the fluid system and to the reservoir are closed, to superimpose over the motion of the slider, with time delay, an additional motion, which is carried out by the sliding ring positioned on the slider.

Method and device for flow switchover

In a hydraulic system for motor vehicles in particular, including a master cylinder, a slave cylinder, and a pressure medium line connecting them, an inexpensive pressure boost is achieved by the fact that the hydraulic system includes a pump having an inlet and an outlet and a valve which are situated between the master cylinder and the slave cylinder in the pressure medium line. The valve has a first valve position in which the master cylinder and the slave cylinder are directly interconnected and a second valve position in which the master cylinder and the slave cylinder are interconnected via a pump.

Hydraulic system, in particular for motor vehicles

A hydraulic system for a motor vehicle has at least one pressure restricting valve with a housing that has two or more connections. At least one conduit cross-section in the housing can be closed by means of a closing body that is movable axially against the action of an energy accumulator. At least a part of the axial travel of the closing body is damped by means of a damping device.

A pressure control valve under the control of a pilot pressure generates a working pressure for a pressure-actuated apparatus. The valve has a control piston with two piston elements of different diameter. A working-pressure chamber is confined between the two piston elements, and a pilot-pressure chamber is confined between one of the control-piston elements and an additional piston. The additional piston takes a position dependent on a momentarily existing difference between the working pressure and the pilot pressure and, through an elastic force-coupler device, applies a position-dependent force to the control piston.
