A compressed-air braking system (DBA*) for a motor vehicle, includes a compressed-air supply device () with a compressor () and several brake circuits which are connected to the compressed-air supply device () via a multi-circuit protection valve () and include at least one parking brake circuit with parking brake cylinders (). In order to reduce the operating noise of the compressed-air braking system (DBA*) occurring in particular on venting of the parking brake cylinders (), it is provided that the parking brake cylinders () can be vented, per wheel or per vehicle axle, alternately either to the surrounding atmosphere or into an additional reservoir () via a respective quick-venting valve () connected to a connecting line () and a changeover valve () arranged downstream thereof.

The invention relates to a wrap spring for blocking an unwanted rotational movement of a rotary element. The invention further relates to an adjusting device for adjusting the wear of brake pads of a disk brake. An adjusting device comprises a guide sleeve in which a wrap spring is arranged, a grooved ring which encompasses the guide sleeve, wherein the grooved ring is coupled to a closure cap via a torsion spring, and an opening ring encompassing the grooved ring. The invention further relates to a disk brake for a vehicle, in particular for a utility vehicle, wherein the disk brake comprises an adjusting device with a wrap spring.

An electromechanical brake actuator () for a brake, in particular a commercial vehicle disc brake, has an electric motor () for generating a drive torque, a cam disc () operatively connected to the electric motor () and mounted in a rotationally movable manner, and a brake plunger () which can be moved along a plunger axis for the actuation of a brake lever () of the brake (). A pneumatically or electromechanically actuated disk brake includes a brake disk having a preferred direction of rotation in forward travel, a brake carrier extending around the brake disk, a brake caliper extending around the brake disk, a fastening-side brake pad with a friction material, an application device having a pressure-exerting device on one side of the brake disk, and a rim-side brake pad with friction material. A fastening-side line of gravity, in the rest state of the brake, is arranged with a predetermined first offset with respect to a central axis in the direction of the entry side of the brake disk in the preferred direction of rotation. A rim-side line of gravity is arranged either with a predetermined second offset with respect to the central axis, the second offset being unequal to the first offset, or with a third offset with respect to the central axis.

To produce a combined service brake cylinder and spring-loaded brake cylinder for a vehicle brake system, force-actuation path characteristic curves of the brake system with the elements that can be actuated by a storage spring of the spring-loaded cylinder are measured/recorded under different operational conditions. Force-actuation characteristic curves of different storage springs for use in the spring-loaded cylinder are also measured/recorded. The minimum necessary actuation stroke of the piston of the spring-loaded cylinder and the minimum necessary spring force for a storage spring to effect a parking brake function are determined by the intersection of the force-actuation curves of the brake system with those of the storage springs. The storage spring that generates a sufficient actuation force under certain operating conditions and the dimensions resulting from the smallest possible piston actuation stroke are selected for producing the combined service brake cylinder and spring-loaded cylinder.

The invention relates to a brake disc for a land vehicle, particularly a commercial vehicle, having an axis of rotation, a friction ring, a disc pot and a disc flange for flange-mounting the same to the wheel hub of a vehicle, wherein the disc flange includes a flange facing. According to the invention, it is provided that the flange facing encloses an acute angle with a normal of the axis of rotation in the longitudinal sectional plane that contains the axis of rotation, when the flange facing is in the non-flange-mounted state thereof.

A disk brake includes a brake disk with a preferred rotational direction, with a first brake pad with a first center of gravity on a first side of the brake disk, a second brake pad with a second center of gravity on a second side of the brake disk, and a caliper for transmitting the braking forces produced by the second brake pad to the first side of the brake disk. The second center of gravity is offset from the first center of gravity by a predetermined distance in the direction toward the side of the brake disk that trails when the disk is rotating in its preferred direction.
