In a receiver-integrated condenser, a super-cooling portion for cooling liquid refrigerant from a receiving unit is disposed between first and second condensing portions in a core portion in a vertical direction. Therefore, in an engine-idling, even when high-temperature air having passed through the receiver-integrated condenser is introduced again toward an upstream air side of the receiver-integrated condenser through a lower side of the receiver-integrated condenser, the high-temperature air is not introduced toward the arrangement position of said super-cooling portion, because the super-cooling portion is positioned at an upper side from the second condensing portion. Thus, super-cooling performance of refrigerant in the super-cooling portion of the core portion is prevented from being decreased even in the engine idling.

Receiver-integrated condenser

A heat exchanger has a header tank, plural tubes through which refrigerant flows and a connector for connecting the tank to a pipe. The header tank has a pair of protruding portions protruding from an outer surface of the header tank and integrally formed with the header tank. When the connector is bonded to the tank by brazing, the connector is disposed between the protruding portions, and each of the protruding portions is bent toward the other at a protruding end thereof by plastic deformation. As a result, the connector is clamped by the protruding portions and is fastened to the header tank. Thus, the connector is readily and tentatively fastened to the header tank before bonded to the header tank by brazing.

Heat exchanger for vehicle air conditioner

A double heat exchanger including a radiator and a condenser for an air conditioner is mounted on a vehicle through first and second brackets. When the radiator is detached from the vehicle, a bolt for securing a side plate of the radiator to the second bracket is removed firstly, and the radiator is inclined in a front-rear direction of the vehicle. Thereafter, the radiator is pulled upwardly to be detached from the first bracket. When the radiator is attached to the vehicle, a first extending portion of the side plate of the radiator is inserted between first and second holding portions of the first bracket. In this state, the radiator is moved to contact an inclining member of the first bracket, and is fastened to the second bracket through the bolt. Thus, the radiator is readily detached from and attached to the vehicle and requires a small mounting space.

A double heat exchanger includes a radiator having a radiator tank and a radiator core portion, and a condenser having a condenser tank and a condenser core portion. The radiator tank and the condenser tank are integrally connected by a connection portion protruding from the radiator and the condenser tanks toward the radiator and condenser core portions. Therefore, the connection portion is cooled by air passing through the radiator and condenser core portions. Thus, the connection portion restricts heat from the radiator tank from being transmitted to the condenser tank through the connection portion, thereby preventing heat-exchanging capacity of the condenser from being decreased in the double heat exchanger.

In a refrigerant condenser including a super-cooling portion, the super cooling portion is located in the upper position of a core portion. Thus, when a vehicle engine idles, and high temperature cooling air having passed through the refrigerant condenser and the vehicle radiator is lead to the air upstream side of the condenser through the lower portion of the condenser, because the super-cooling portion is located at the upper position of the core portion, the super-cooling portion is not influenced by the high temperature air.

An evaporator for cooling apparatus according to the present invention includes a cooled flow passages in a heat exchanging portion and a bypass flow passage bypassing the heat exchanging portion between a receiver for reducing the pressure (pressure P1) of liquefied refrigerant condensed by a condenser and an evaporator, which communicates in parallel with each other. A valve element is disposed in the bypass flow passage, and opens the bypass passage when the pressure P1 is equal to or less than a predetermined pressure where a refrigerant temperature within the cooled flow passage is more than a refrigerant temperature within a cooling flow passage when the refrigerant is introduced into the heat exchanging portion and where a refrigerant dryness is less than a predetermined value when the refrigerant is not introduced into the heat exchanging portion and pressure thereof is reduced directly to the refrigerant pressure within the evaporating portion. Thereby, the reverse heat exchange is prevented and a good heat exchange efficiency can be achieved for all the range of P1.

A laminate type heat exchanger is formed from a plurality of plates and integrally brazed and joined. This heat exchanger includes a joint block, a refrigerant heat-exchanging portion which causes heat exchange between refrigerants, and an evaporating portion which causes heat exchange between refrigerant and passenger-compartment air. A refrigerant evaporator for a refrigeration cycle which separates a refrigerant of a two-phase gas and liquid state introduced from a pressure reduction means into a liquid refrigerant and a gas refrigerant by a gas and liquid separation means and distributes at least the liquid refrigerant to a plurality of refrigerant passageways of a heat exchange portion by a distribution means such as a tank. The distributed refrigerant has a single phase such as a liquid refrigerant and therefore the distribution is uniformly and equally carried out, the efficiency of the evaporator becomes higher, and the size can be reduced.

Refrigerant evaporator

A refrigerant evaporator for a refrigeration cycle provided with a heat exchanging unit, comprising a passageway to be cooled and a cooling passageway, and an evaporating unit for cooling the air, wherein a part of the inflowing refrigerant is divided, passed through a throttle to be reduced in pressure, and then passed through the cooling passageway of the heat exchanging unit, the inflowing refrigerant passing through the passageway to be cooled is cooled and completely changed to the liquid state and then passed into the evaporating unit, whereby the refrigerant is uniformly distributed to a plurality of refrigerant passageways of the evaporating unit.

A evaporator for use in a refrigerating cycle in an air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle. The evaporator is provided with a heat exchanger and an evaporator. The heat exchanger has an inlet passageway for leading the refrigerant from the condenser to the evaporator, and an outlet passageway for leading the refrigerant from the evaporator to the compressor. A heat exchange between the inlet refrigerant and the outlet refrigerant at the heat exchanger part takes place, so that a combined gas-liquid state refrigerant is introduced into the outlet passageway of the heat exchanger from the evaporator, whereby a superheating state of the refrigerant is generated in the outlet passageway, and a result, no superheating action occurs in the evaporator, and thus the refrigerant in the evaporator is kept at a constant temperature, whereby the cooling efficiency of the evaporator is increased.
